Look no further, if travel brings you to downtown San Diego then your loding experience must be at The Sofia Hotel on Broadway near the Gas Lamp Quarter. The Front Desk personnel are professional and most helpful. My room was smaller than other hotels, but spotless, roomy enough to workout and more than adequate for a short stay. It was...

My husband and I just returned from a vacation to San Diego where we stayed at the Sofia for 4 nights. Upon checking in, the staff was ok but not overly friendly or welcoming. Our room was on the 7th floor, but like others have said the view is just of a brick wall and other windows. Wish I would...

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Sofia. The service was great and the rooms were clean. The Hotel is close to everything. The Gaslamp Quarter, harbor and PetCo. Park. Aside from the construction at 9am on the day of checkout everything was great. We would definitely go back

A tiny room with a view of anther guests bed resulted in me have the drapes down for 4 days and nights. The room is well appointed and comfortable. However the real let down for me was the front desk staff. Professional in standard dealing ie checkin and check out, however as cold as the prevailing weather at other times....

Perfect spot in the center of the city and the gas lamp district. The room was perfect, like having your very own apartment in the city. The staff was very courteous and professional. Amber, the bartender downstairs in the restaurant was a perfect host, and Amy the waitress couldn't have been more helpful. So looking forward to coming back.

I traveled to San Diego for work in September 2012 and our travel group selected this hotel. I had never heard of it but was very happy with my stay. I had dinner at the on-site restaurant the first night and the turkey burger and quinoa side were excellent and dinner was a grand total of $22 with tax and...

Stayed here 3 nights to attend conference at convention center. Convention center is about a 10 minute walk away. Rooms are smallish but still nice. 5 minute walk to many restaurants in Gas Lamp area My only complaint was that the AC/Heating system would periodically make a loud vibration type noise, would last less than a minute and then would...

I was traveling on business for a conference at the Convention Center. I picked this hotel because of the competitive price, walking distance to the conference and proximity to dining/social venues. The property is a very nicely renovated historic building with city-sized rooms. The amenities are accommodating, though I did not use the fitness center or yoga facility. The Currant...
