Our family had a wonderful stay at Sofia. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. The location is superb and we were able to walk everywhere. We enjoyed the restaurant too. The one drawback, though not as important to us, is that the internet signal in our room was weak.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a quick little San Diego weekend getaway. It was centrally located in gaslamp with a quick uber ride away to the bars! The hotel itself was very nice. We enjoyed the bar inside the lobby. The rooms were small but very nicely decorated. It has a boutique feel to it. We...

We stayed 2 nights in a corner room which had lots of windows. Brian at the front desk was awesome at check-in and gave us all the information we needed. The hotel is located about 6 blocks from the marina and around the corner from the large shopping center and several good bakerys and coffee shops. Bed was very comfortable...

When I opened the room, beautiful classical music softly plays from the radio by the bedside. That was a very nice touch. Hello anyone listening in the hotel industry? The lights were on in soft dimmed light and pleasant. A sachet of lavender potpourri was on each bed. The decor was warm earth brown tone. Nothing jarring, just soft and...

I'm a prior resident of San Diego. Had to make a work related trip back down and decided to take advantage of the opportunity to stay at this hotel. It's perfect. My room was small, but very adequate for myself and probably my husband if he comes along next trip. So heads up, basins being located outside the restroom is...

Location is excellent Restaurant below- Currant with great staff. While some staff in the hotel are good - we encountered a gentleman who doesnt fit to work in the service industry. He was abrupt & rude. The Room allocated was smelling and damp. Probably because we booked from a travel website. It was Changed upon request. No one helped with...

We just returned home from staying 1 night at the Sofia Hotel. The staff was great, as well as the room. We were within walking distance from Horton Plaza, with shops and restaurants. When in San Diego though we always eat dinner at Puerto La Boca in Little Italy. If you like Argentinian food this is the best.

We stayed here for my boyfriend's birthday. He was sick that weekend so we spent the whole time in the room. The bed was very comfy and the pillows were nice. There was noise coming from the halls but nothing too crazy. I love that the coffee bean & tea life is right there on the corner. Gaslamp is a...

Ok, first things first. The size of the rooms. Sure, if you are planning to be in your room for long periods of time, and there is more than one person staying in said room, then yes. They can be a bit small. But, if you are like me and like to wander and explore things, put your clothes in...
