Hillcrest House is conveniently located near the airport and local attractions such as restaurants, parks, and beaches. The rooms are nice and well-equipped. I especially appreciated the free wifi. Ann and all of her staff are friendly and were helpful with planning our tourist activities. Ann has been in the hospitality industry most of her career, so she definitely knows...

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and it was our first visit. The owner was very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was amazing. Ann makes the best muffins! We could not stop eating them. We were new to the area and Ann had some wonderful ideas of places to eat and visit. She...

perfect host, perfect location for traveling around San Diego, good for restuarants, shopping. House has 5 rooms for your selection, different styles. House is in quiet residential street close to many different restuarants. Rooms are spotlessly clean with all the amenities you could wish for. We haven't done BB for some considerable time...and we lucked out picking Hillcrest....we heartily recommend...

You open the door to the Hillcrest House and you're home! In the best possible way we felt comfortable and important. Our room and furnishings were warm, cozy, and intimate. Bedding was attractive, well accented, and extremely conducive to a great night's sleep. We love Hillcrest with its excellent coffee, bread, and reasonably priced restaurants. There is an intangible quality, orchestrated...

We went to San Diego for a few days while in California. After debating between staying in a downtown hotel and a B&B we settled on Hillcrest. We are glad we did and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. To keep it simple, the following list highlights our experience with Hillcrest House: - free parking - quiet, comfortable, clean rooms with spacious...

This was our first visit to San Diego. We enjoyed our stay at Hillcrest B&B - (5 days - Gaslamp room). We found the room a bit small for 2 people but overall - the room was comfortable - especially the bed. Ann (owner and innkeeper) was very attentive and friendly. The location of the B&B was great - walking...

Mission Beach is under a 10 minute drive. The restaurants in the Hillcreast are open til about 3 am and are provide ethnically diverse...

Pros: excellent location in a hip neighborhood with lots of good food choices; clean and comfortable rooms; friendly and helpful staff. Con: lame breakfast with no protein--at least hive us a hard-boiled egg, especially for the not-that-inexpensive rates.

Didn't realize that we have great b&b in our own backyard. We needed to get away from our routine, and this was a great spot with lots of restaurants. My favorite part, was relaxing on the porch with a glass of wine, the entire home felt cozy. Ann was very pleasant and enjoyed good conversation. Can't wait to be back!
