More often than not I stay in hotels but occasionally get the urge to stay in a B&B in the hope of finding a little gem and this place did not disappoint. I arrived later than usual one Sunday evening following a delayed flight from London, fortunately this B&B is not far from the airport, on seeing the property for...

Ann's easy style makes Hillcrest House feel like home, except better. Her breakfast table is filled with unlimited light treats as well as interesting guests and fun banter with Ann herself. (She calls it the Table of Knowledge and we agree.) Her reasonable price and great, walkable location attracts people who are interested in the close-by multitude of museums, great...

Hello Janis, It was a treat hosting you and Mike at Hillcrest House. Coming into the house and seeing you two relaxing in the parlor each evening was just like having family visiting. Hope to see you both back again soon! Cheers, Ann

We spent 6 nights in San Diego at Hillcrest House last week - in 2 different rooms because there was no availability in one room for our entire stay. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast. We loved: The free parking The Immaculate rooms The comfortable beds The breakfast muffins The proximity to many great restaurants so we could walk...

We spent four days at Hillcrest House and had a wonderful time. Ann was a wealth of information helping us to plan our days. The location was very convenient to the airport, restaurants, and downtown. We found it easy to visit many of the local attractions. Breakfast was healthy and delicious. Ann even provided us with a breakfast-to-go the morning...

Although our recent trip to San Diego was fraught with bad weather and illness, I could not have wished for better accommodations or nicer hosts. Although Ann was not present for the first three days of our visit, due to a family emergency, her substitute was warm and welcoming and went above and beyond what anyone could have expected--she even...

Couldn't find a nicer and more inviting place to stay. We were in walking distance of where our family lives and in easy access to dozens of great places to shop and eat. Ann was wonderful and made us feel right at home.

I've not even left yet and I'm missing the warm inviting home run by Ann. I stayed for 8 nights visiting my daughter and son in law one street away. I've travelled from Australia tonVegas where I was at a conference for four days in a massive hotel not even seeing daylight so arriving in beautiful sunny San Diego was...

Hillcrest House B & B is a great place to stay in San Diego. The accommodation is great, very comfortable, very nice people, and very convenient to everything in the Hillcrest and Balboa Park area. I will stay there again in the future.

Our stay at Hillcrest House was amazing! Off street parking is a huge plus here. The room was extremely clean and well kept. The bed was super comfy. Ann went the extra mile to make us feel very welcome. Don't miss her mini muffins for breakfast. I'll be staying here again the next time I'm in San Diego.

What a lovely B & B. Ann is friendly and informative and gave us great advice on restaurants and shopping. The room was quiet and the bed and pillows were perfect. The linens were devine. The common areas were bright and cheery. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee was to die for.
