The staff was wonderful and accommodating, the breakfast was simple but tasty, and the decor in the common areas was adorable. We especially enjoyed the staff's friendliness and ability to make excellent recommendations about what to see, do, and eat in San Diego. However, we stayed in an "economy" room, which provided essentially no amenities; we had a shared bathroom,...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the breakfast, decor and service. I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your Economy room. We include "shared bathroom" in the title of the room hoping that will alert guests to the room type they are booking. Although the Economy...

The hotel is beautifully preserved, a short distance from lovely little Italy and its many restaurants and boutiques, with very friendly service. Rooms are basic but clean, spacious enough and the bed is comfortable. The hotel's decor is beautiful.

Vyvant has a great location, rooms were nice and very clean, and most of all - the Staff were the friendliness and most helpful ever. So if you don't want the impersonal big hotel experience, this is the place to go... Will be back again.

We were so happy with our stay at Hotel Vyvant. Although the exterior caught us by surprise (situated next to the highway and needing a paint job), the interior shared space and rooms were meticulously decorated with soft colors and the staff was warm and knowledgable. They gave spot on recommendations for restaurants and neighborhoods for us to explore during...

Just had a fabulous one night stay at Hotel Vyvant. From the moment of walking in the door we were warmly greeted by two friendly smiles at the front desk. I mentioned it was our anniversary and they offered us wine or champagne. After getting into our room we decided to ask if they had any available king beds to...

I loved Hotel Vyvant! It has such a cool old-house atmosphere. I was SO impressed that along with their breakfast they had gluten-free granola and soymilk as well. As a gluten-free vegan I rarely can eat anything but fruit and coffee at hotel breakfasts. I was so grateful to have something more substantial! It was delicious too. I did have...

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was well maintained for the duration of our one week stay. The rooms don't provide anything like a view, and parking on the street was less that awesome, but for the location and quality of the establishment, it's difficult to beat.

The location is literally off the freeway entrance. It is noisy. There's no getting around that. My room was literally on that corner looking at the entrance. Lucky for me I lived in SF for the past decade so that didn't faze me. I also could live with the fact that the hotel is in the main flight path about...

This was my second stay at Hotel Vyvant, although it was under different ownership my first stay. I love this boutique hotel so much! The entire place has lots of character and it feels like you are staying in a home, not just a hotel. The staff are friendly and make great recommendations for places in the neighborhood, as well...

Spacious, comfortable, quiet *economy-priced* room, excellent granola, coffee and baked goods for breakfast, great location – and the most charming, professional, helpful, responsive staff I have encountered in a hotel at any price in a very long time. Life and work don't often take me to San Diego, but there is absolutely no question that, when I return, I will...
