We loved this place. Excellent service, nice breakfast, and attentive staff. The only thing we didn't like was it was a bit far to walk to a dog "area," but that is what happens when you are right downtown. And the valet parking was $40 a day! Ouch. But again, that is the price you pay for convenience of being...

This hotel was great...super clean, modern, excellent customer service...everything you'd expect from a Marriott. In retrospect I wouldn't choose this location for a family. My kids were scared walking around since there are so many homeless people everywhere. This is a great location for an over 21 crowd who wants to go out at night and enjoy the night life....

I have been travel world wide, and stayed many Marriott in different continents. Overall, the service in US is lagging behind the service in Asia. I have been spoiled by superior services Asia countries' Marriott, Courtyard, Ritz provided. But this property by gaslamp is providing excellent service, that is not usual to US. Even the property is not directly sitting...

Lots of great stuff here. Trever at the front desk was wonderful! He was so helpful. The people working in the concierges' lounge were lovely and the food was good. The housekeepers were friendly and awesome. The view from my room was amazing (right into the ballpark). Not so great... the girl with the long dark brown hair in a...

The staff are friendly enough, but I can't believe this is a 4 star. I stayed at Hampton Inn last year which is 3 star and basically the room was a little better but not much. Where do I start? Here goes ... 1. Internet connection took ages to work properly. Staff were nice but couldn't help and gave me...

I was very satisfied with my stay at the Gaslamp District Marriott even though, I arrived fairly late and left mid morning so I didn't have much chance to check out many of the hotel's services. The staff I encountered where friendly and helpful. I was lucky enough to have access to the concierge lounge for morning breakfast, and the...

I remember this hotel when it was first reflagged and they did a good job. Now returning after many years I am disappointed that the property has been used hard and no real updating has been done. The bar in the restaurant floor is cracked and just pain ugly. Minimal food service with average taste. They do have a great...

The majority of the staff are very nice, especially in the concierge lounge. However, this property lacks in communication of requests to the staff. Unlike other Marriott's the folks here missed numerous opportunities to excel. Granted, it was my first time at this particular property but after over 500 nights in Marriott's, this is one not to repeat. Sad, as...

A very short overnight stay on our US trip. We arrived from Carlsbad and were welcomed professionally. My room was well appointed and beyond my expectations. Breakfast next morning in the restaurant was very Flash but like most American hotels, they can't make a simple, bacon and eggs like us Aussies.
