First, nice decor of the lobby, I did not find any torn furniture (!) Second, the stuff is really helpful & kind , anytime of the day or night, they have all taken the same lessons of hospitality. Great breakfast, the persons serving too helpful, the person in charge of luggage really helpful, the managers. Great view.

I went to San Diego with a girlfriend to do the Susan G. Komen 3 day 60 mile walk. We checked in and went to the bar to celebrate and that is when I realized that my wallet with my ID credit card and several hundred dollars was missing. I had nothing and was freaking out! The manager spoke with... More

Stayed here on a Saturday night. Free On street parking was allowed starting at 6 pm so we didn't need to park in the garage. Room and hotel is spacious and contemporary. The only drawback was the faucet handles in the bathroom being too loose, but not a big issue. Silver elite and higher get a complimentary breakfast. Nice touch.... More

We arrived pretty late at night but had no problems checking in. The room was clean and decorated in a pretty standard modern hotel style. Nice beds. Complimentary coffee machine in room. Breakfast in lobby area was available but pretty expensive, we preffered going out to eat breakfast. Hotel is very close to the Santa Fe depot from where we... More

We requested an early check in but were unable to get it. The valet and bell team are wobdeful-very polite and helpful. The front desk team could take some lessons in customer service from them. Some of the lobby furniture is so worn you can actually see through to the foam. The furniture in the room looks like it was... More

I stayed here for a night during the summer. It's a good business hotel with a nice bar/happy hour. The lobby/rooms were well maintained and clean. The location is not too far away from Gaslamp and Little Italy so there's a lot of stuff nearby. Checkin/out were smooth and efficient. No complaints here.

This "Renaissance" was recently acquired and rebranded. Although it doesn't live up to the Renaissance Marriott name yet, I expect it will, as they make note that they expect to undergo renovations over the next year. Currently, I would categorize it as a lower-tier hotel. Rooms were small, the facilities tired and without much of a restaurant. The staff were... More

Rooms were nothing special and had no Fridge or Microwaves. From my room I could hear the train at night. Restaraunt was limited menu and very expensive . The hotel is oddly decorated and a bit Eclectic. Since the hotel is downtown there is no available parking so you must valet park thru the hotel and the fee is higher... More

Located between Little Italy and Gaslamp Quarter - not far from Seaport Village (hire a ricksha) and the airport (10 minute drive if no traffic). The valet staff were really friendly and helpful, but in the late hours there is only one person and if they are not available, then you will have to wait so give yourself plenty of... More
