This hotel recently went through a very extensive overhall. They did a great job! the lobby is quite interesting and welcoming. Short walk to the water and several eateries down town San Diego. It was a treat to happen on two famous micro breweries - Stone and Karl Strauss within a couple of blocks.

Went here in the summer for the weekend with my boyfriend to have some alone time. The hotel is very beautiful and right on a corner, hard to miss. They only have valet parking and its quite expensive, you can't park there on the street at night. We really liked the room and the bed was big and comfortable, everything...

We arrived late Friday night and were greeted by Vanessa. She found out we were eloping and immediately upgraded our room to the corner suite. The next day my fiancé got the front desk to set up a same day limo and also one of the girls at the desk to come tie my wedding dress in the room so...

First I want to say that the staff is all very friendly. Their customer service is top notch. The location is ideal, right in downtown San Diego. The beds were comfortable. My only slight improvement needed for the hotel is that common area are too dark like the lobby and elevator area. I dont like the dark ambiance. Next is...

Stayed here for a night and will be very interested to see it if I make it back after renovations. It was a former W hotel and you can still see the remnants with it's modern decor. While downtown, the area is relatively quiet, which is nice. Pretty lively lounge/bar area which can be a nice start (or end) to...

From the moment I walked in to the moment I left the experience was seamless and pleasant. Check in only took a couple minutes (even though I'd just booked it on HT not even a couple hrs beforehand), the room was spotless and very chic. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It's a 10 min walk - if...

We had a great two night stay here. The rate was great, and since we took the train down, we didn't pay for parking. The Amtrak station is five minutes walking distance from the hotel. Check in was fast and friendly. They gave us a high floor and had the crib we requested set up in the room already. The...

I took the train to San Diego and the hotel is less 10 min walk from the Santa Fe station. Ali's, only few blocks away from the Gaslamp district. The people are nice and the room is clean. Only downside is you have to pay for Wifi.

I had a great stay at the Renaissance San Diego Downtown Hotel the week between Christmas and New Years. As a Marriott Rewards Platinum member, I find myself always staying at the Renaissance brand as the staff tends to be more friendlier and the upgrades are definitely better (lets be honest, we're rewards members for the upgrades). I checked in...

Very nice hotel and excellent customer service. Less then $10 uber ride from airport. Excellent breakfast. Just wish the room had more charging/power options next to bed without having to move furniture. Very nice and would highly recommend.
