This a very nice Hilton. The lobby area is very pretty, and I love the large group of palm trees right out front. The hotel is in a great location, right by all the action and directly across from the convention center. Super convenient. Staff was very friendly, as well.

When I arrived, I was told only valet parking available and it was $42 a night. This was outrageous and when I told the front desk clerk that I was caught off guard, she said "This is downtown San Diego...." and shrugged.

Dear Gregg S, Thank you for your review. I apologize for the way my guest service agent made you feel when you inquired about the valet parking charge. The guest service agent certainly should have let you know about all the convenience and value that comes along with our parking fee: unlimited in-and-out privileges, 24-hour access to your vehicle, quick...

This is a very nice hotel. It is located just across the street from the San Diego Convention Center in the Gas Lamp District. The staff is friendly and professional, the rooms are well equipped and clean. I'm so happy we stayed here rather than at one of the convention center hotels. The location in the Gas Lamp district was...

Dear Brian G, Thank you so much for your review! We too are very happy you stayed with us and not at one of the large convention hotels! We feel our smaller size and boutique style and atmosphere allows us to showcase our friendly, professional staff. It appears you agree! We hope you will come back again so you can...

One of my favorite things about visiting San Diego used to be staying at the Hilton Gaslamp. It is a very comfortable, boutique hotel compared to the Hilton monstrosity across the street (that’s another story). Last week I checked in the day before via the app promoted in an email I received from Hilton. They had me on the second...

Had a good stay here, Location reasonably close to the airport (15 minutes by taxi). Right around corner from a great variety of restaurants, convention center and ballpark. Neighborhood felt safe, with a sprinkling of homeless folk here and there. Light Rail passes very close by. The train is quiet, but the crossing signals can be annoying if you are in...

The Gaslamp Hilton is a well-run hotel at the edge of the Gaslamp district, and a short walk to the Convention Center. The staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are clean, and it's in a good location for restaurants, cafes, and other things in the Gaslamp Quarter. The only downside is breakfast: it's terrible. I had one meal with several...

Dear Avidyadeva, Thank you for sharing details of your recent stay with us. Friendly staff, clean rooms and a good location are just a few of the great things we have to offer! On the other hand, I am disappointed to hear that you didn't have the best experience in our restaurant. We regularly get rave reviews on both our...

Very disappointed, after going out for a very nice thanksgiving dinner brought left overs back but the mini refrigerator had been removed no way to keep our food cold. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning three coffee packs for two people and coffee maker did not work well, second day had to call to get any coffee.

Dear Danny L, Thank you for your feedback after your recent stay. I am so sorry that the mini-fridge was removed from your room. One of my new favorite hotels. Outstanding location -- so close to downtown Gaslamp where there are restaurants and clubs to visit. Beautiful facility. Parking is a bit pricy (valet only) but better and safer than trying find a parking space on the street.

I stayed here with my grandson for one night before our early morning flight. We enjoyed our evening walking around the Gas Lamp quarter and had dinner at a local establishment. The beds were so comfortable and the room was very quiet even though the trolley line was right outside our room.
