A beautiful location with many amenities. The outdoor bar area is clean and modern. It was fun to spend an evening relaxing there. The pool was also immaculate and warm. Most of the food at the restaurant/room service was not great; however, the tacos and burger were decent. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The door to our bathroom did... More

This is a great hotel, the layout is a little odd with 3 separate buildings. I was in the furthest building away from the front desk. I was greeted promptly by Krystina at the front desk and she was extremely helpful and got me checked in quickly. I got to my room and it was absolutely immaculate, no stains, fresh... More

We stayed in the main tower, which is the newer part of the hotel. The room was a standard Holiday Inn room. We had hoped the view would be more - you could see the marina somewhat across the busy street. This hotel provides water as a perk, and that is it - no coffee, no cookies in the afternoon.... More

I have been meaning to write this review for some time now, but had not gotten around to it. There are certain places that compel me to share my experience. This was one of them, and here's why: We stayed at the Holiday Inn SD Bayside from July 2-4th, during a mini vacation we decided to take last minute. We'd... More

I really liked this hotel but I had to mark it down one star because our air conditioner could not be adjusted. It was the about the same temp no matter what you set it for. It was also dripping water from the intake and smelled musty which means it was probably clogged w/algae (had this happen at home once)... More

I had my wedding here in Sept. 2015 in the new large banquet room and stayed the night in the suite upstairs in the new wing. The new renovated hotel is gorgeous inside, good food, great service, and a perfect location overlooking the bay, lots of great food walking distance in Point Loma and Liberty Station, and a few minutes... We had just stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in LA before driving here to the "full service" Holiday Inn. I'm not sure what "full service" means but I definitely feel like we got fuller service at the "express" hotel. The staff was just so-so which was OK because we barely saw them as we were in farther away, separate... More

Dear enystedt: Thank you so much for posting your review and comment about your recent stay at the Holiday Inn Bayside. I am sorry that you feel like you got a "fuller service" at the HI Express. By definition express hotels are limited service hotels meaning they don't have restaurant or banquet facilities available for guests or groups but nowadays... More

The hotel is divided into three buildings/sections, each constructed at different times (decades?). The oldest section is showing its age and needs to be updated. I was in room 139; a ground-floor room in the original building. The room opened up onto the mini-putt and pool area, which might be a bonus for families with kids. The room had a... More

I could not belive how snarky the front desk staff was. When you ask them a question it feels as if you are bothering them. If you ask for information on the surrounding areas, sadly, you will be out of luck. It was ashtonishing that the hotel front desk staff had no idea what restuarants in the area were open... More

Stay here for a week. The location is great, close to everything. About 3 to 4 miles from downtown, seaport village, gas lamp. Check inn and out is easy.
