Super friendly staff. We arrived late and had to go really early. The staff offered us a free breakfast to take out and even brought it to our room. Really sweet. And read all the books in your room! You probebly won't sleep anymore but the stories of other guests are beautifull. History of the hotel and their owners is...

I stumbled upon this hotel while web browsing. Lucky for us they had room for us so I booked right away. Pulling onto the Hotel grounds we were pleasantly surprised with our surroundings. We approached the young lady standing at a podium near the restaurant/ bar area. She was very friendly and welcoming. A sign next to her welcomed the...

Grade - C: I had a great time in San Diego and stayed at The Cosmopolitan Hotel because I was looking for a unique experience. The Cosmopolitan delivered a unique and enjoyable stay. Be aware the hotel tries to stay true to it's 1800’s roots. That being said there are no TV’s, Phone’s, Wet Bar’s, Ice, or Refrigerators in any...

What drew us to the Cosmopolitan is its location in the heart of Old Town San Diego. What keeps us coming back is the friendly staff and lovely, old fashioned rooms. We still appreciate how centrally located it is--park once and amble around the area to our hearts content. We usually get the dinner package that gets us a coupon...

My stay in Old Town at the Cosmo started strangely, wonderfully, disconcertingly well enough and veered along that way for 2 nights and 2 days. When I arrived a HUGE Thanksgiving buffet FEAST! was on at the restaurant with over 50 dishs at over a dozen stations. The place was packed and you need to understand that the restaurant is...

Always a fun place to drink and nosh economically during happy hour. Central outdoor bar/pub atmosphere. My only gripe is the seating - it's cool looking but cowhide is scratchy and not comfy at all. The bartenders are always friendly, too.

My wife and I stayed at the Cosmpolitan during early December for two weeknights and it was fantastic! We literally felt like we were staying in a museum exhibit with very nicely restored furniture and amenities. The staff was genuinely very friendly, cordial, and accommodating. The room we stayed in (The Seeley Suite, rooms 4 & 5) is nearly the...

It is a very nice hotel if you look from the outside, because it is a 1820s style building. When we arrived, our room wasn't ready because they had had a wedding last night and the wedding decorations were in the floor. We returned an hour later, and the room was "ready", but the blankets on the bed were dirty....

We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights at the Cosmopolitan. Great place to absorb the early history of San Diego and California. Even though the bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked, the positives outweighed that one negative. We loved the quiet atmosphere and historic flavor of the hotel. Delia was a wonderful host as she prepared our...
