Endeavor Inn & Suites, part of the Trademark Collection by Wyndham, has garnered a mixed bag of reviews. While some guests have enjoyed the hotel's variety of amenities, including its cozy rooms and complimentary breakfast, issues with non-functioning ice machines and ongoing construction have marred the experience for others. The service has been both commended for its friendliness and criticized for disorganization. Despite the praise for cleanliness in common areas and rooms, minor issues have been noted. Furthermore, many travelers question the hotel's value, pointing to overcharging and room discrepancies, while opinions on the atmosphere range from classy to outdated.

I stayed at the Endeavor Inn on my drive from Denver to Indianapolis and then again on the way home. It was a good choice of where to stay in Topeka.

The rooms were similar. Double Queen Bed rooms, a microwave and mini fridge. A spacious and comfortable room. The first stay found the A/C struggling to keep the room comfortable. When I made the return reservation I mentioned this. The staff probably set the A/C to high before my second arrival. The room was nice and chilly. This made the return trip stay very nice. The hotel is quiet and comfortable. It could use some attention to worn areas inside, but nothing major. There is a nice patio area with the pool. I didn’t get a chance to check it out but it looked very comfortable outside my window. The staff was courteous and professional. Breakfast was served each morning. There are restaurants and service stations in the vicinity.

The initial booking through an online service was about $20 cheaper than booking direct but even at the higher rate, it was affordable.

With the cooler room on my return, I was very happy with the Endeavor Inn and highly recommend it.

Clean comfortable rooms. Staff definitely needs training. Booked in advance for 2 queen bed room. On checkin was put in a king suite. On checkout was told they put me in wrong room then proceeded to give me a bill for an even different room. You would think after being bought by Wyndham 2 years ago they would have their staffed and trained by now.

My son my friend and I stayed in the king suite. It was absolutely amazing. There was heating/cooling unit in the living room area with pull out bed tv table to eat at another table to do writing/business things. The bathroom was big where the sink was a huge area with mirror behind sink and mirrors to closet behind you if ur facing sink. Then a door to the big bathroom where a shower/jet tub and toilet were. A the best for last there was a door and behind was a huge room with the king bed, tv, and U had privacy it was very enjoyable. In the morning the free breakfast was soooo good biscuits n gravy sauce eggs potatoes waffles good coffe and juice very friendly and good looking staff behind the bar where food was served. We had a problem with the tv in living room but son had his tablet and the free wifi worked unlike other hotels great! I would recommend this place to anyone. Only downside was no elevator however there are not many stairs and believe me the room was worth it. Thanks Endeavor for making our stay unforgettable we will be returning again !

This place has a lot of potential. The common areas - lobby, breakfast area, courtyard are very nice & classy. However, when you get to the area of the building where the sleeping rooms are, everything changes. Our room looked nothing like the pictures on the app. It was dingy brown and gold, no artwork on the walls or anything from the last couple decades (old lamps, chairs). The outlet was hanging out of the wall. The fitted sheet was too small for the bed and only came about 1/2 way down on the mattress. The room hasn't had a good cleaning for a long time as along with baseboards there was lots of dust, lint and crud. There was some type of blue shampoo or soap on the wall of the shower. There was no hook on the back of the bathroom door, but there was velcro covering the holes where the hook had been. It would have been nice to see the hot food that was served for breakfast. But instead we were served by a man in a sloppy oversized sweatshirt, shorts & tennis shoes - with a tip jar on the counter. Every classy feature of this hotel is outdone by all the tacky things that stand out from the sleeping room and breakfast situation. Definitely not worth the $100/night it cost us.

Sign at front desk about internet temporarily unavailable however we hopefully believed the desk person that said a person was out buying a router though doubtful at 8:30 pm. Never was fixed. No hot water in the sink faucet. Courtyard and gym closed due to renovations with lots of plastic sheeting hanging around. New carpet smelled nice. Breakfast was below average (at best) with a cheap, flavorless coffee dispenser though people were nice and rooms were clean. Hopefully the mattresses and pillows are on the list for 'renovation' as well. Seems like the two free drinks at the converted breakfast bar was a big draw for the guys but had as much ambiance as a rest stop without flush toilets. Passed one guest in the hall with his two free drinks in hand wearing just shorts (no shoes, no shirt). Good parking options and lot was well lit.

If you are allergic to feathers please note they have feather pillows and the front staff does not know. I called ahead and requested no feather bedding. The front desk had no idea they had feather pillows and acted like she never heard of such thing. She told me they do not have feather pillows. If you have allergies you know what an issue this is.

The room was adequate, not very clean, but also not terribly dirty.

Disliked · After booking a double room with two queen beds on booking.coms website and driving 14 hours straight my husband, 18 year old son, and I arrived close to midnight and just wanted to get right to our room and pass out from sheer exhaustion. We waited in the front lobby for 30 minutes while the receptionist talked on the phone and made us stand there waiting. After getting into our room we realized it only had one king sized bed and a pull out sofa bed. I went back downstairs to speak with the lady at the front desk and she said that’s all that they had left so we were stuck with it! Go back to our room to find out there is no bedding for the sofa bed and my son to sleep on, go back downstairs again to tell front desk, she gives me sheets, and says there will be a pillow and blanket in the closet. Go back upstairs, no such luck! Back downstairs and she gives me one blanket and says they have no pillows! WTF!? By the time we actually get to bed it’s close to 1 am, worst sleep ever, lumpy bed, dirty rooms and we were too exhausted to care. When I told her on my third trip downstairs that this place is not getting a good review from me, she said oh well, nothing I can do! When I asked for a discount because we didn’t get the two beds we booked and paid for she said not her problem and take it up with booking! Horrible Horrendous Terrible experience at a hotel!

My family and I had stayed at this hotel many times in the past. We’ve always loved staying there, but after this last stay, we will never be going back! I don’t know if the hotel took a dive downward when Covid hit but our room was absolutely disgusting! I don’t think the room we stayed in had been really cleaned or updated in years! It looked like there has been half ass cleaning jobs done and a small bandaid to fix what is still broken. The ventilation system for sure has not been touched in a while! There was brown cobwebs in the curtains, stains all over the carpet and walls. And who knows what the hell was all over the door?! We were supposed to stay for 3nights and we ended up checking out after the first night! We could not even take a proper shower because the shower was broken and there was not enough water pressure to bring the water up and out of the shower head. I have provided pictures below was well. I didn’t find any point in complaining to management. I just decided to take pictures and write a review in hopes someone sees this and fixes the problems or it stops people from wasting their money! I have never been so disgusted with a hotel ever!!

This is an older motel, trying to become more upscale and modern. There are signs of modification and construction around the motel (e.g., tables and chairs piled into corners). The front desk staff were a bit inexperienced when we checked in (with an existing reservation), but we eventually got a king room on the first floor at the back. The room was quiet and clean, not particularly modern, and the bathroom was not updated. They have a happy hour in the lobby every day, and we enjoyed that, watching a football game with others. The breakfast was typical "free" fare, but it is clear that they are trying to do better. Overall, it was a good value and was worth the stay. It should be nice once they are finished updating, eliminating the rough edges.

This is kind of a tough review for me. Overall, I liked the property. However, my mother is disabled and they were unable to give us a first floor room even though we had requested it in advance. They do not have an elevator (which is my mistake for not noticing this in the description). I was disappointed that, under the circumstances, they were not able to do some rearranging to get us to the first floor. To make matters worse, I was also traveling with her a 5 year old on a two week trip where this was just a quick start. It was difficult for me to lug all of our stuff upstairs by myself. I called the front desk and asked if they had a maintenance man or anyone that we could tip to help get things back downstairs to the car when we left and they did not. I feel like a hotel without an elevator should try to make those sort of accommodations when necessary.

The pool area is amazing and is what made us decide to book this day in the first place. The pool is a nice size and there are plenty of tables snd chairs with the lounge chairs being antigravity recliners. There was a lot of shade and because it was a courtyard setting, it seemed private and resort-like. My granddaughter and I absolutely loved it! However, since my mother is disabled, she was unable to enjoy the day with us because the pool has no railing, ladders or lift chair for getting in and out of the pool. I tried to help her get in but she was unable to do it without having a rail to hold onto and another guest had to help me get her out. She was the one paying for the room and she had to spend the entire day inside because it was too hot to be outside without using the pool.

With all of this being said, if I was traveling alone or with my husband I would absolutely stay here again. I was told by someone at the front desk that the property is about to undergo a major renovation including the addition of an elevator and a revamp of the pool area. Once this is done, I would feel comfortable giving this property five stars rather than three.

Thank you so much for staying with us!!! I sincerely apologize for any troubles our property may have caused. You are absolutely correct though, someone should have helped you carry your luggage up and down the stairs. I will be using your review as a training tool for my team. I am extremely embarrassed we did not do more to help you navigate the stairs, that is no where close to the expectations I have set for my team. I truly appreciate you taking the time to let me know where we failed you, if I am not aware of issues, I can never get them fixed. So, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to correct this behavior. We are scheduled to begin a complete renovation this Fall, and one of the first things to happen will be an elevator!!! We are all so excited for the new and improved ClubHouse and hope our guests are as well. We will also be updating the Courtyard area as well. We do have a chair lift for the pool, it is currently being repaired and that is why it was unavailable for your Mom to use. I hope you give us another chance to WOW you, if you will be traveling to our area again, please contact me directly, I would love to take care of your next stay with us. Have a safe and happy summer!!!
