Upon check in the front desk gentleman was very nice and helpful.
During breakfast and upon our check out Kerry was very nice and friendly, even carrying around the baby she was spunky and full of energy.
Even though it was a short stay it was a pleasant 16 hours!

I have stayed at this hotel many many times. It has always been my favorite place to stay in Topeka and I have been willing to pay a little more for it. We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom suites in this stay.
I now have to say this hotel is really starting to show its age. I hope it is on the list to be remodeled soon or they will start loosing business.
Cons: we had no dish or dishwasher soap or dishcloth to wash dishes with in the room. They use to have a lot of pans, dishes and utensils. Now we have 2 warped pans, and set of mis-matched dishes that were in the drawers but obviously dirty, and few utensils. The carpets are dirty and need to be replaced. I cut my foot on a carpet tack going from the bathroom to the carpet. The bag that is suppose to hold pillows, sheets and a blanket was in the room but empty. Each time we called down for what we needed they told us we could come down and get it if we want it but they would not bring it up. The chair in the living room was ripped. The tub in one of the bathrooms was cracked. The air conditioner was very loud.
Pros: the. Staff is friendly. The lady that takes care of the breakfast was very nice and efficient. The beds are still comfortable. The rooms are pretty quiet, We didn’t hear much noise from other rooms.
I wish I had more pros to add to this list because I have always been very fond of this hotel. I hope they are on the list for a remodel soon or it’s going to cost them some more business.

This is a generally a good hotel with nice amenities.
However, we've stayed here three or four times and this recent trip was a little disappointing. This is an old property and the rooms continue to show their age. Our most recent room was in extreme need of refreshing. The vinyl chairbacks at the dining table are peeling. The couch looked very tired and grubby. The carpet in the bedroom is lumpy near the bedside table. There was a bit of trash between the side of the bed and the wall.
I always wash the dishes provided in the kitchen before I use them, but this is the first time that I took a mug out of the cabinet and it was obviously dirty. We could easily hear the occupants of the room above us walk around.
The breakfast was skimpy compared to previous stays. Perhaps we were there during a lull in bookings, thus they offered less variety at breakfast. They didn't have some of our favorite options that we've always enjoyed there before.
On the positive side, the staff we encountered were helpful and pleasant. The beds were comfortable, the bath products were nice. We will try a different hotel next time we are in town.

We had a two-bedroom suite for three nights during the week. The suite was quite comfortable with a full kitchen (ice maker in freezer compartment). Each of the two separate bedrooms had a full bathroom. The facility was well kept, clean and beds were comfortable. Air conditioning worked quite well. Parking was very adequate, although most of the parking spots near the front entrance filled quickly each night. The free hot breakfast was filling. We enjoyed the excellent cookies that were provided in the lobby the first night. However, they weren’t available the second and third nights. When asked why, the response was basically that they forgot to prepare them. I hope they’re available each night from now on.

We had a suite. The room was dated and somewhat clean. There was no evidence that any extra consideration was done to sanitize the room other than the three packets of small sanitizing wipes on the bathroom sink. There was no flatware in our kitchen area, sealed disposable flatware would have been acceptable. The biggest disappointment happened when I showered. The tub held the water from my shower, I stood in my shower water. It was located close the highway and on a mainstreet that allowed me to pick up food items for the kitchenette.

A great overall experience while staying here for the Unbound 100 gravel race. Staff was able to upgrade our room free of charge because I messed up the room selection when booking. Nice continental breakfast and a very comfortable will stay. I plan on styaing here again next year, when I'm back in town for this bike race.

Mediocre at best. The hot tub & pool area was dirty & smelled like urine. The hot tub was VERY dirty around the inside edges (yellowed) & had something grainy inside, like sand. Our room was fine & the hotel staff were friendly. Free breakfast was standard. Overpriced for the low-grade amenities. The location was easy & accessible from the highway with a lot of restaurants & stores close by.

We usually stay in a Marriott when we travel and this one is one of the most disappointing one.
It was dated, dirty and in poor repair. All the carpets were stained. The room furniture was dirty as well.
The food area was very dirty as well with no serving utensils and poor selection of food wanting as well.
Certainly not up to Marriott standards.

We got a double king - which is a rare find at hotels. With 3 kids this works out well. (Also a pull out). Two bathrooms and a nice kitchen/ living area. Great for someone staying for an extended period of time.
Rooms were modern, spacious and clean. Front desk staff was extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast bags were prepared due to covid - and staff was wearing masks.
Very impressed overall - and total the room was around $180 which seemed reasonable. Would stay here again for sure

The Residence Inn in Topeka is a nice sized property, well situation near alot of good walking spaces, right adjacent to an Applebees. It was fairly full but quiet. Everyone in the hotel was wearing masks. The breakfast was extremely limited but that was due to the corona virus issue. The property was large and you can safely walk all around it. Nice and quiet location. The room was large and clean. Everything worked well. We would visit there again. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming.
