My partner and I stayed here for two nights. The carpet and one of the walls looked like someone put white paint on them. The carpet at the end of the bed was crusty in a spot, wall next to the bed was a little scuffed up. The curtains were a bit tattered and someone stuck a safety pin in them. It didn’t help much. Breakfast is typical for what one would expect at a Choice hotel: waffles, muffins, eggs and bacon with juice and coffee to drink. The food was okay, nothing spectacular. The staff was friendly enough. I have seen and stayed in worse, but this one feels a bit neglected.

When we got to our room, there was no water, no TV and no A/C. We called the front desk and she apologized profusely. Some plumbing work was being done and the water was turned off, but she couldn't explain the power outage. She immediately came up and moved us to another suite around the corner. Perfect! We loved having the couch and extra room. Great bed, HOT water. First time I ever saw Pop Tarts in the breakfast area!

We stayed at this hotel from June 10 to 12 in room 313. The person at the counter has to serve the breakfast area at the same time, so the items are not constantly replenished. We had to wait at least ten minutes before the eggs and bacon were replenished. The room is adequate, but the freezer compartment of the refrigerator had a thick layer of ice.

Worst place u have been in a while! Pool heat was broke so my kids couldn't swim the entire time we were there. Sauna was broke. My sink in my room wouldn't drain. And the couch bed was missing half the springs. Lady (short and hefty) at front desk was rude as well. But the breakfast was really good. And housekeeping was so sweet.

Our family with two older teens enjoyed the comfortable, clean room, including the sofa bed. The air conditioner fan stayed on and didn't cycle off and on; exactly how we like it. The hotel seemed full but was quiet. The breakfast was good, and there was plenty of room between tables so it didn't feel crowded. We would definitely stay here again. The man at the front desk (I can't remember his name) was very friendly when we checked in, and the woman at the desk when we checked out was also friendly.

This was a disappointing stay. The details of this property have been overlooked, leaving it much less than it is could be. There is deferred maintenance everywhere you look. Our ADA compliant room was quite large and the beds comfortable. The button for the elevator had been pushed into the wall. Not sure what a person in a wheelchair would do trying to get down from the 3rd floor. Our bath fan didn't work. There was extra hardware on the walls from towel racks, door locks, etc. never removed. Half of the lights in the pool didn't come on, making it a pretty dark place to swim. Ok if you're having a romantic weekend, not so safe for kids. Dials on sauna controls missing, garbage in elevator light fixture, peeling wallpaper, overgrown landscaping, etc. Two machines in the workout area did not function. The breakfast was typical offerings with biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, etc. I was unable to finish the sausage or orange drink. If this was a $60-80/night place, I probably wouldn't bother with a review. We paid $130/night and it just wasn't that level of a property. I would look elsewhere if returning to the Topeka area. I would encourage the owners to invite some fresh eyes to come in and make a list of the many maintenance issues that need addressed. This could be a really nice place, but it needs focused effort to bring it back.

Great place for a larger family (we brought 4 of our 5 boys on this trip) to lay their head down in a clean room with comfortable beds and pillows. Only drawback was there were no linens for the fold out couch. Good well stocked hot breakfast was complimentary.

I’ve booked multiple rooms per week for several months for our construction employees as we’re working on a large project in Topeka. They’ve taken great care of us and always make booking easy. The staff is very friendly when I call to book rooms each week or to have receipts emailed to me. We’ll continue to stay here for future Topeka projects.

We had stayed here before. At the last min. while drive east on I70 on a Saturday afternoon we decided to stay in Topeka. We called and the man working the front desk went above and beyond the call of duty to get us a room on short notice. When we arrived he super helpful in getting us taken of care and making some recommendations for dinner spots.
The place is super clean and right of I70 with dining options close by. And the staff makes it seem like you are coming home or staying with friends. And, a great breakfast.

We had a nice stay. The bed was comfortable & it was nice to have a sofa. The bathroom was nice. Our only issues were that there was no black tea in the rooms or in the breakfast area, & the heat wasn't working in our room. The desk staff person came up to try to get our AC/heat unit fixed, and couldn't. It was evening and the room was a little too cool, so she gave us an extra comforter, and we were fine. I know they would have fixed it that evening if the comforter didn't solve the problem for us. The breakfast was very good, with Belgian waffles, muffins, yogurt, etc. I had brought a couple of black tea bags, and that helped us. We gave one to another guest who was also disappointed that there were no black tea bags. Overall a good experience.
