Reception: Alex was overloaded. Complications with non-functioning key cards led to a long queue. In our room the AC could not be switched off. After we demanded change, a female employee dismantled the device. It was full of dirt and not functional. The room not habitable. The process took over an hour before we got another room. The restaurant is uncomfortable. Minimal selection at the breakfast buffet. 3 fried eggs cost $19.50 per person. Room calm. AC works effectively. Few light sources. Bath is okay. Unfortunately dogs are allowed everywhere. This is very annoying and unsanitary.

Hotel's Favourite
Hotel was very clean. Plenty of parking conveniently located to the front door. Clean and quiet. Made to order breakfast was very good
Close to everything you would need and easy access to highways. The hotel was extremely clean and smelled so good. The staff was very friendly and helpful even accommodating the best they could to put family next to us on the same floor - BONUS POINTS!!! Great restaurant and bar!! I will stay here again!!

The staff was very friendly, helpful and fun. They made sure we were taken care of at each step of the way. The facility is very nice and affordable. The room was divided into rooms like a small apartment with a kitchen including silverware and dishes. Everything you need is there. I will definitely stay there again.

Experience was terrible. We were in town for a family wedding and chose this location so family and friends who traveled from all over the US could congregate together in the common area. Ac was broken and the owner chose to lie and blame kids messing with thermostat that was not locked. Owner stated he would review cameras and press charges on the kids he claims messed with the ac. Come to find out from employees the ac had been out for the better part of a month but he did not want to repair due to high costs. Owner refused to provide fans and with several massive glass windows, the temp in the lobby/bar/breakfast area where we held several get togethers throughout the weekend was over 80 degrees. People could not relax and in turn did not have the fun we were counting on. At one point, a member of our party asked the owner about the issue and he chose to get in her face rather than handle the issue professionally. The owner pretended he did not know about the issue until that night which was his day off but I personally witnessed him attempting to turn down the broken ac the day prior. The owner is a liar and treated females as though they are beneath him possibly due to a cultural difference. Owner stated guests could not consume their own alcoholic beverages on property, they had to buy from his bar. Owner was not accommodating or respectful toward guest. Our stay was not what we have come to expect from Hilton and especially was not in accordance with the “guarantee” that is posted all around the hotel stating, “If something isn’t just the way you like it, simply let any hotel team member know, and we will make it right. GUARANTEED.” We could have stayed somewhere nicer for less that was exactly what we were looking for this one time weekend.

They have another new general manager and he was came off as rude unprofessional and no help. Water was leaking in from the outside and their maintenance man was young gentleman who stated he was inexperienced. When I asked for a change of room the front desk said she couldn’t make a change without management approval. There is No manager on duty at all hours and the one gm on duty that is there in the morning doesn’t have time to speak with you

Terrible experience. Just because you have an online paid non refundable room reservation doesn’t mean when you arrive in evening there is an empty room for you. Apparently there is a severe disconnect between the online reservation system and if the room actually exists when you arrive. Last night the people in front of me at check in line were having a thirty minute problem because their room didn’t exist. Finally after enough yelling their problem was resolved. I step forward and the check in employee gives me this smirk that he just gave my room away to those people. I was offered a single bed room instead for my family and if I didn’t want it I could leave. True story. I tried to get sheets and blankets for my teenage son to sleep on floor, we got three pillows but no go for the sheets and blanket. Today has been a great day with my teenager.
There is no staff. Just a young kid frantically trying to work the phone with his ‘Manager’ who clearly didn’t care and was no help. The six people behind me on line were similarly pissed off. There are plenty of these near highway hotels. I recommend avoiding this one. Usually these Hilton Garden Inns are a slight step above and nicer. But not the Topeka site.
They literally just don’t care and I’m really not expecting that much.

After booking and paying in full through Priceline, I checked in and made the receptionist aware that I was paid in full and showed her the receipt. She said okay and took my card for incidentals. Next morning I notice a whole night stay was taken out of my bank out. I was double charged. I told the receptionist on the day shift what happened and she acted like it was my job to call Priceline and get them to cancel the charge on their end. So I called Priceline and they tried to get the hotel to pick up the phone and they went back and forth for 40 minutes. They kept saying there was nothing they could do. We finally talked to the financial department at the hotel, and he gave us the run around. I know why too. Priceline gets a cut, when you book through them. The hotel would rather me get Priceline to refund me, and for me to keep the charge on my card that the hotel put on it. They don't want to pay the cut if they don't have to. I was livid. Horrible customer service, why even partner with Priceline if a receipt saying paid in full is not proof enough. I'm still waiting on the pending charge to come off of my account. Ridiculous. They didn't even offer to comp me for the 40 minutes we had to spend fixing their mistake. I called corporate and asked for a free nights stay. They are supposed to get back to me in 3 days, but if that doesn't pan through we will never stay in a Hilton again or their other hotels. My husband and I travel constantly and we have never had this happen before. Bottom line don't stay here if you don't want to be double charged and if you expect people to do their job and fix their mistakes. This is getting posted on all review sites until they make this right.

Absolutely horrible. The bed was the lumpiest, most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on. Bathroom door is a sliding door that wouldn’t stay shut, leaving a 4 inch gap from the wall on one side and sliding open 5-6 inches on the other side-no lock. Bathtub drain was broken. We found trash on the floor. Lighting in the room was limited to a few lamps with low watt bulbs. Fridge wasn’t cooling. Furniture and decor was cheap and dated. Service was poor. I left a message for the manager, who also “bumped” our school’s room reservations for other schools that reserved more rooms, and have yet to hear back 5 days later. Our school’s entire team was left without rooms even though they made reservations MONTHS in advance and had confirmations. The hotel gave the school notice of their canceled rooms a few short hours before check-in. Parents wanting to stay in the same hotel with team were stuck in this dump while our kids were in another sketchy hotel. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

One of the nicest hotels we've stayed at in a LONG time!! Weekday prices are good, we altered our vacation plans to accommodate as we didn't want to pay the weekend price. Check in was a breeze and front desk very helpful with our questions. Once settled we wandered down for a cold beverage at the bar & checked out the food menu. Bar/wait staff very friendly and made us feel welcome. Everything was super clean everywhere that I looked!! Wound up ordering a pizza that we took up to the room and it was good. Bathroom in room was super clean, large fluffy towels, water pressure excellent!!!! Only downside was that we did not realize the "continental" breakfast cost $10 until AFTER we sat down & started our plates, my husband definitely got his $ worth on the eggs, potatoes, bacon & sausage but for my yogurt & fruit it was not worth the $. Will for sure stay again though on our way to visit our daughter!!!!!!!
