Good stay. Our room got all the water pipe noise throughout the night and morning. The carpet throughout looked dirty. The housekeeping staff was not very friendly. I'm not sure if it was a language problem. The ice cream machine didn't work and I was given my money back. I informed that there should be a sign on the machine...

I loved my stay at the Midtown January 5-7. I was especially impressed with the courtesy and friendliness of the night manager, Mark Bacchus. He welcomed me every time I entered the hotel during my stay, and said goodbye every time I left the hotel. He is an excellent representative of The Midtown Hotel, and I was very pleased with...

One can't beat the location of this hotel, walking distance to Jordan Hall (where we had to be 2 days), restaurants, including the new "Eataly" at the Pru-Center. Rooms are basic but very clean. Bathroom small but very functional, bed a bit short for my 6'4", but very comfortable. Only one serious item: the heating unit makes way too much...

Great value for a short stay. Walls are thin so you can hear others easily. Rooms are clean. Parking for $30. Front desk staff very polite and willing to help. Brief walk to t station and wonderful location.

This is probably my 8th stay here at the Midtown. My son goes to Northeastern and it is literally two blocks away. I always enjoy my stay here. I love the retro feel and how helpful the staff is. The rooms are always extremely clean and comfortable. It is also very reasonably priced for its location.

Great location to the BSO and Prudential Center; loved that every room has two double beds; very comfy bedding; room temp was easy to control; spacious room with simple amenities; toilet plumbing made noise every once in a while but not a bother; the sliding door closing off the toilet the sink did get stuck a bit; very hot water...

Great value.... great location. Staff were helpful and courteous. We had some issues with. Wifi that staff tried to help with. We've stayed here multiple times. Unfortunately we had very loud neighbors this stay. .... though not the fault of hotel staff

Stayed the night after going to hockey game, was good for the night, clean and nice rooms. Room was kind of small but good for size bed and good for just two people. Would recommend for anyone that needs a night stay for any reason.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
