My wife and I stayed at this wonderful small botique hotel on Beacon Street. The atmosphere was quiet and low key, just the way I like it. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The dining experience was great, the food was excellent and service great. They have a complementary car service available to all guest. We took full advantage...

The hotel has great historic character with large rooms and extremely helpful staff. The location is great- walkable to lots of restaurants & shops plus Boston Common. Traffic is a bit of a nightmare although there was construction while we were there. Great for business travel if you're looking for something outside of the big hotels in the area. That...

My boyfriend and I stayed here last night and I had to write a review immediately after we left because it was the best experience at a hotel that we have ever had. From the moment we walked in the door, the service was impeccable. Daniel went above and beyond- offering us a complimentary car service if we wanted to...

Just a quick update since my last review - our stay this time was in better. The suites are amazing - love the big space, gas fireplace, bathtub, large closet area off the bathroom and comfy bed with fretted linens. But it's the service that really stands out - my husband and i took advantage of the lexus rides around...

Having stayed at all of the nicest hotels in Boston, I go out of my way to stay at XV Beacon. The rooms are gracious, luxuriant, and attractive. Since I have always stayed here when it is cold in Boston, I love the cashmere throws, fireplace, and half bottles of nice Bordeaux. If you are traveling on business, like me,...

Every Christmas my family and I stay at XV Beacon for a wonderful holiday treat. Each visit is as perfect as the last- handsome, luxurious rooms, delicious food, ideal location- this is our most beloved annual tradition and can't imagine staying anywhere else.

My wife and I stayed here over the new year break. Very receptive staff who can't do enough to help you. Fab room with the unusual feature of a gas fire. Great on a cold night. Moo restaurant provides super bar / dinner facilities. Again staffed by really nice people. Location spot on for Boston city amenities. The Common just...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights over the Christmas holiday and found it to be wonderful. We are very fussy travelers and this hotel was charming, with beautiful rooms and a great restaurant named "Moo." I wish the gym were larger, but beyond that it was excellent. The staff was extremely helpful in every way.

Our family enjoyed our visit to XV Beacon. We were traveling with our daughter's Yorkie pup and the hotel was perfect! Not only were the amenities fantastic for humans but pups also. For those of you who are Lexus owners, there is free valet parking which is huge in Boston! This is our family's new favorite hotel when we visit...

Ok, so why aren't there more than five circles that I can fill in??! This hotel is clearly the cream of the crop for places to stay. I can't think of one thing I saw or experienced that made me walk away imagining it in a different way. Clearly this hotel is well - run: The GM is a pure...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
