Built in 1928 as Boston, Massachusetts' first Art Deco skyscraper, the historic Hilton Boston Downtown/Faneuil Hall is the ideal blend of old and new. Our stylish renovation brought new luster to our 1920's intimate decor of warm brick, rich woods and brass and added a host of modern comforts and conveniences. The hotel's ongoing commitment to superior service and exceptional standards of excellence earned us the coveted AAA Four Diamond Award year after year.

Hotel is in very poor and tired conditions. Need renovation badly. Hilton doesn’t believe in giving benefits to diamond member. It’s shame that Hilton is becoming more and more roadside cheap MOTEL that needs complete overhaul of management also.
We booked for the weekend for a best friend getaway. I wasn’t sure what to expect for a post Covid stay. The Stately Grande Dame is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. It is not modern opulence but very classy and richly appointed. The lobby had Art Deco touches of a bygone era. Our room with double beds was spacious and comfortable with very high ceilings which denotes her age. The view from our window of the city with the mix of classically built and modern architecture and sea beyond was lovely and wonderfully lit at night. The A/C worked well, beds were comfortable but the shower was a bit weak. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, and found using the Hilton app was helpful for check in/out and questions before I arrived. The trip was designed to be park the car and walk the city. This was perfect location to walk to shopping, entertainment and dining options. The Tradesman coffee shop located in the lobby was tasty with breakfast and light lunch treats. We enjoyed the outdoors seating with the friendly birds who almost taking crumbs out of our hands. The Fin Point restaurant and bar was hopping both Friday and Saturday nights. We didn’t have dinner there but enjoyed drinks both nights. Hard working crew behind the bar never missed a beat right up to last call (which was 11:30pm 😕) Special shout out to our bartender Ramsey “the Great”, with his fabulous personality and winning smile. He created a drink for my friend that she loved so we called it the “Pharaoh”. Peter… your team delivers! Check out was easy on the app and the receipt emailed. Valet parking was a little rough at check out. It took longer than expected (45 minutes) but there were plenty of attendants, it was just so many requests at once. The concierge, who was as accommodating as could be, can hold ur bags after check out and car can remained parked until 4pm if you want to walk around after check out. I wish we had done that after we got our car and found no where to “park”… municipal parking is wildly expensive on the weekends ($40 for 1 1/2 hours 😬) and no on the street parking. Looking forward to returning to the Hilton Downtown and enjoying a Pharaoh. …
Spent $350 a night of my Companies money on this hotel, and it was so not worth it. Very run down hotel rooms not worthy of Hilton brand. I’m a diamond member and the check in guy was rude. I was upgraded to a suite (I asked for an upgrade, but was told that many people are Diamonds, so why am I deserving of it?!?) but the room was in terrible shape… stains all over, nics and scratches on all furniture. It’s in desperate need of a makeover. Note that diamonds are supposed to get $12-15 in food and beverage credits per person, but this hotel only gives $10. Why??? No explanation. Stay elsewhere.
Desperately needing an update. The mattresses are old and tired, the remote on the tv doesn’t work, the drain is slow in the shower, the carpet is worn, the curtains and windows are broken, and paint is peeling on the ceiling, the cabinets don’t close, the hardware is falling off the cabinets, the bathroom grout is full of mold and there is a leak in the sink that drips on the bathroom floor. I can overlook some things, but considering how much this hotel costs per night I want a hotel that is clean and works. The staff are nice and the location is good. For the price I would try another place.
Perfect home base for touring Boston. T stops nearby, less than 10 minute walk to wharf, Faneuil Hall and maybe a bit more to north end. Booked a Superior King, room was clean and a decent size for a city hotel. Every staff member we talked to was pleasant and helpful. Multiple restaurants and bars nearby too. As a Hilton Honors member we received 2 $10 coupons/day to eat in either the restaurant or Tradesman Coffee shop. Nice touch that covered our breakfast every morning during our visit over the busy Columbus Day/Marathon weekend. Would definitely stay here again.
