Everything in this place is great: the location, the service, the food, the rooms, etc, etc...extremely fabulous and totally recommendable!! I arrived super late at night and they helped into the building super fast. On the way out they took may bags to the car and didn't even have to worry about it

We stayed at the Taj, this New Years Eve/New Years Day and last year. NYE is my husband's birthday. Last year, we booked a Park View Suite. This year, we booked a Park View Room, and were one of the lucky few to get one with a fireplace in the room. For the two night stay, we ordered a fire...

You couldn't beat the view from our 15th floor park view room. Though we only stayed one night, the service was excellent and we didn't want for anything. It is a great location, only half a block to the T.

This aging grande dame of the Boston hotel scene offers, great views of the park, and old world charm and fairly good service. I certainly get they are going for traditional but some things could still be updated. Bathrooms good size. We actually were on our way to having a lovely stay until we woke the next day covered in...

Dear Reservationfor2, We thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback and we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the views of the Public Garden. We were however very concerned to read about your sleep experience and would like to offer our sincere apologies for any inconvenience we may have caused. We can assure you that we...

The overall experience is really good. The reception staff (Kate and Severine) and Vera were really helpful and friendly. It really feels like a palace hotel. The location is perfect as you can reach almost every corner of Boston by feet. Unfortunately, the hotel is a little bit outdated and would need a refurbishment.

For the last 3 days of my visit to the USA, I decided to stay in Boston and what better place to rest at the end of each day but the Taj. Situated in a great location opposite the Boston park and common with high end retailers around every corner and history all around what more could you want? On...

This is a beautiful luxury hotel with preserved charm, including some rooms with working fireplaces (and a fireplace butler). The service is fantastic. Location perfect, right across the street from the Boston Public Garden, and on the corner of Newbury Street.

It was a wonderful stay. The staff were courteous and very helpful, the room was great and the hotel location was perfectly situated to get to many of the sights and attractions of Boston. The fact that staff were able to seat us for afternoon tea, without a reservation, was a definite bonus; afternoon tea was delightful and a great...

The Taj is one of my favorite places to stay in Boston. It's full of old world charm - classic for those who love this city. The lobby is beautiful with gleaming marble and polished brass. The front desk staff is friendly and welcoming. The hallways are well lit and very wide (there's some of that old world charm). The...

Great hotel with excellent staff. Near the Public garden, Newbury street shops. Best part was dog friendly as we wanted to bring our little puppy with us. The staff was very welcoming to the dog offering the dog treat.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
