This hotel is not what is portrayed online. It's aged and tired. The location is ideal for walking everywhere but don't be fooled, it's just an average hotel with basically no amenities other than basics. If you can get a better deal somewhere else, take it. It's not a bad place to stay but it was jarring unacceptional. We went there to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, if the staff knew that they said nothing, bartenders were apathetic, rooftop bar isn't as fancy as it looks and was only open sat night. Drinks and food are way overpriced. It's just meh.
I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I was allowed an early check in which was appreciated after a long travel day. There was no housekeeping service, but I could stop for supplies at the front desk if needed. The beds were probably the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. New England Sports Network was listed on the guide, but the baseball games were blacked out. A bit disappointing. If you’re a light sleeper, ear plugs are recommended as the street noise can get a bit loud. The rooftop bar was fun, but the drinks were very pricy. All in all a great location, and very comfortable hotel. I would stay again.
Excellent experience! Highly recommend this hotel! The staff was professional and helpful, and the location was perfect to easily walk to attractions throughout the city. The city view from my upper level room was amazing!
This hotel is close to a lot of places in the city, the only plus. The air conditioner was really dodgy and housekeeping doesn’t come during your whole stay unless you request. You are just supposed to call if you need things and that’s if you can get anyone to pick up the phone. After we arrived home my friend got a $87.39 fee on her bill. When we checked in, the credit card we gave them was for incidentals, well apparently this charge is because we booked through a 3rd party (Expedia). It doesn't state on our Expedia booking that this would happen and this has never happened to us before and I've used Expedia hundreds of times. They never gave or emailed my friend a copy of the receipt at check out, nor is this policy posted anywhere in the hotel or on their website. The manager is refusing to take the charge off of the bill. With all of this hassle I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE AS WELL.…
This hotel is centrally located within walking distance to most of the historic attractions and restaurants. We were able to get an Uber car to take us to places that were not. We were able to attend a baseball game at Fenway Park. Our team lost, but overall, it was a great adventure!
Good sized rooms, ok bathrooms and the staff were mostly fine. Housekeeping is by request, which at $300 a night seems very poor. Even when it’s done they didn’t change the bed or towels and they didn’t vacuum either. We stayed for 7 days and housekeeping came once.
Walkable to Boston Common, theater district, restaurants, pick up for Hop on Hop Off tours and a lot more. Rooftop bar has a great view. The only issue was they weren’t open all the time. We assumed due to the universal staffing problem. Otherwise the staff were always very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Our room was large and very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
Great rooms with nice balcony and well appointed furniture, great views of the city and you can see out to the harbor, was accommodating for a late checkout and good service close to many restaurants and theater district with a lot to do
Clean, service fine, absolutely adequate in all respects. Just not special. A hotel, and a good one, but not a destination. --- They upgraded me too. But I did not need the space as it was a short overnight trip.
This was my very first business trip since the pandemic. The hotel staff never missed a beat with keeping everything tidy, comfortable, and organized amidst all of the required changes. The only item I thought I'd miss was access to a microwave. The only suggestion for improvement would be in-room dining. No one ever answered the phone regardless of using the phone extension or dialing an extension. That could use some improvement but my overall vote would be 95% Great Stay.
