We chose to stay at Omni Parker House for our short Boston vacation mostly due to its convenient location and slightly lower price than surrounding hotels. Although the hotel looks and feels very old (carpet, hallway setup, colors, etc) it was clean, we had no problems with bed bugs, and the staff was very professional, friendly, and helpful. The location...

This is a beautiful hotel. The bell staff greeted us at the street and immediately helped us get our bags to the front desk. Room was large and very nicely appointed. The location was perfect for our two-day stay in Boston.

I stayed here due to a convention in town and I received a good rate due to convention pricing. The rooms are old and small, but this wasn't a surprise based on what I had read about the hotel. All of the employees I spoke with were very helpful from the front desk to room service to those working in...

Located in the center of downtown great for both business and sightseeing. Plenty of cafe, bars and shopping all in walking distance. Hotel is one of the oldest in town and they still keep the interior design where you really feel the history. Has cozy pub with plenty choice of beers

I spent a night there. due to business in boston. The place is really downtown, the old city hall is directly opposite. The rooms are adequately equipped and well maintained. Obviously there was an event in town, otherwise the lunatic prices cannot be explained.

I really tried to love it here. The staff was incredible. I loved the history of the hotel and the gorgeous lobby. (I recommend going to the lower level by the gym and wandering through the gallery of old photos, menus and newspaper clippings.) However, during our two-night stay, my husband and I only had one good night of sleep...

Many thanks for taking time to post your review and we were pleased to see that, for the most part, you enjoyed your stay. It is true that WiFi is free for members of Omni's Select Guest program and it's a simple process to join. When you signed-on to our WiFi, charges for this service are clearly indicated, so we're...

I would never have paid the normal price to stay here but I was able to obtain a decent deal through a third party service. Granted even through that site the price we paid for a room was ridiculous after realizing we could have done better much closer to downtown and paid more or less the same. Service was ok...

Allow us to point out that our hotel is, perhaps, the most centrally-located one in downtown Boston and, even at that, our valet parking rates are the lowest of any of our competitors here in town. Parking in Boston is not inexpensive and quite typical for major metropolitan areas in the Northeast.

But that was okay, because despite what a lot of other reviewers have said here, we had a large room that was quite lovely and affordable (on special). The location is really terrific, close to Fanueil Hall, the North End, the Common, Chinatown, and a nice walk to the Back Bay area. What used to be a pretty sketchy area...

Attended a graduation at a local college and the prices were outrageous. Could not book a room for only a one or two night stay six months in advance. Staff was excellent, but accommodations were not what I would have expected for the price paid.

It's true that prices for all Boston-area hotels are high during the commencement season and regret that you did not find value from staying with us at this very busy time. We hope you'll give us another try in the future!

This hotel is historic and situated very conveniently in downtown Boston, close to the Commons and sites on the Freedom Trail. The exterior and interior public areas are beautifully appointed, however the rooms could use a little facelift. The bathroom had porcelain chipping off the tub but was otherwise nice. The main issue was that the shower curtain was very...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
