We stayed at this hotel on a business trip. It was very functional for our business meetings. It is in a great location as it is within walking distance of most of the historical attractions of this great city. The hotel is beautiful and in good condition given its age. We did have a minor malfunction with one of our...

This is an historic property with room size suited to a former era. That being said, the service and comforts provided are extraordinary. I especially appreciated the bellmen who went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful.

This is an old hotel. Our room was very small for 3 people and the bathroom is in need of renovation/repairs. You are paying for the location. We came on business, but brought the family along. Not so family friendly.

Great location. Great service. Great hotel. Great place to stay when visiting "The Hub." Short walks to Boston Commons, Quincy Market and Cheers. Right in the Heart of the city. Perfect for a couples getaway weekend.

Stayed a few days ago at the Omni Parker House in Boston. The room was very nice -- the bed was wonderful to sleep on. The food was worth it, supper and breakfast -- both really good. (My husband got the hash for breakfast and I tried some -- BEST I've ever had.) But what was so fun was being...

First BEWARE - there is not additional parking available. VALET is the only option at 44.00/day. Be sure to budget this in. LOCATION otherwise is perfect, but there are other options with better parking solutions available. The desk staff was rude, which may be a Boston thing, but regardless... courtesy or understanding would have gone a long way. Beds are...

To clarify things, there are plenty of self-parking options close to the hotel although weekday pricing is not much less expensive than our valet parking service. Weekend prices can be a value most times.

My grandmother used to work here back in the day. The property is one of the old grand masters of it's era. I stayed there for a business overnight trip. The king room was small but adequate, the bathroom was very small. The room was clean, the bed and linens were clean and comfortable, but the place was aging and...

Was in Boston for a Red Sox game and stayed at this lovely hotel which was located within walking distance to everything. Only about 5 minute walk to Quincy Market and Boston Common. Only drawback was we found the room quite small. We would recommend this hotel.

This is a lovely hotel with the most gracious staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Upgrade to an executive suite was absolutely worth it. This historic hotel is a perfect backdrop to the Boston experience.

I loved this lovely hotel. It feels old in a good way. It is situated right on the Freedom Trail, which tourists can use to walk the historic sites of Boston. King's Chapel and the Granary Burial Grounds are nearby. The graves of Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, John Hancock, Crispus Attucks, and Mary Chilton can be found at Granary. The...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
