I stayed here on business and was really impressed with this place. My room was huge and really nice. It's in a great location. The staff are very friendly. And when I realized I'd left something behind, they immediately mailed it back to me. I would definitely recommend this place.

This was our third stay at the Gryphon House, our favorite spot in Boston. The guests have a choice of eight unique rooms, each very well described on the website. They are huge. Our rooms this time were on the lower level, but they were very quiet and really uniquely decorated and comfortable.Theresa, the innkeeper, has done a fantastic job of...

I was in Boston for a conference and after reviewing the typical choices for lodging, decided to stay at the Gryphon House. It is one of the best B&Bs (and any lodging) I have tried. I was on the fourth floor, facing the river. Quiet (!!), beautiful rooms, nice breakfast that can be brought up to the room the night...

My husband and I recently stayed at the Gryphon House for three nights. We have stayed at numerous B&B's and I have to say that our time at the Gryphon House was positively wonderful! Teresa met us outside when we arrived and was incredibly friendly. She told us where to park, offered to help with luggage and even offered to...

Nice big rooms/bathrooms and proximity to Fenway, Boston Univ. and the T makes this place a nice little getaway. Breakfast and the all day snacks and tea are a nice touch. It's very understandable travelers return here as it has a very homey feel.

My husband and I loved our short , but sweet stay at the Gryphon House. Check-in and parking was easy. The inn was charming and well appointed. The innkeeper was pleasant, incredibly helpful, and most accommodating. The breakfast was simple, but very good. There was something for everyone. We look forward to our future return when we visit our daughter...

we needed to a place to stay close to fenway for a concert. This bead and breakfast was a great find. Wonderful staff, quiet but centrally located, with large rooms. I would highly recommend it if you need a place near fenway or close to the city

This is the second time we've stayed at the Gryphon House in the North Tower room. It is perfect for a family with extra space and a small kitchen. The water pressure is heavenly! The location is ideal for us being walking distance from Boston University and Fenway Park. We like that is has off-street parking. The staff is wonderful,...

My wife & I stayed here four nights to enjoy the short walk to Fenway Park to see the Royals & Red Sox battle it out. Room was lovely - breakfast was perfect! Built in 1890 (the original wallpaper still hangs), it's a charming alternative to an impersonal hotel. The room was large and comfortable and the breakfast, served in a Victorian parlor, was very nice. Great place to stay if you're heading to Fenway -- or anywhere else in Boston since it's right near a subway.

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
