My wife, daughter and I enjoyed an incredibly exciting and informing few days in Boston. The hotel concierge Luis was absolutely fantastic. his knowledge of the city, courtesy and willingness to help us really enhanced our stay, a great asset to the hotel.

First off, I have no complaints about this hotel -- everything is top-notch. That said, I took a couple of things out of the minibar so I could put something of mine in instead -- only to find out that they have these robo-fridges that helpfully record all withdrawals so they can helpfully charge you ten bucks for a half-size...

Great place. Great location. Great views. Great rooms and great service. No negatives to report on the Intercontinental. it's top notch. One of the best hotels in Boston. The room is nicely appointed and interesting in design. Very roomy and very comfortable. Nice RumBar off the lobby with reasonably priced drinks. The location is walking distance to seaport, and the...

Excellent stay at he IC Boston. Jackie, Johann at the outdoor area were extremely gracious and willing to help out of towners on some restaurant options and things to do ! Cannot say enough good things about all of the staff and service.

I stayed at the intercontinental 2 nights for a few annual meetings and was quite pleasantly surprised. The check-in process was easy and the front desk also gave me a few recommendations of the food truck outside. The room is spacious and pretty quiet. I tried to book a spa service, however, they were all booked up. I did notice...

There are many small touches and nice extras that are everywhere at the hotel Very attentive staff who looked out for everyone. Always go to them first before using any service or going to any attraction as they can give you sound advice and provide you with better priced tickets in some cases. The rooms met and exceeded expectations with...

Came by on a sunny Saturday for a few drinks. The outside bar is right off the water with views of the Seaport. The bartenders Johann and Kristina were very friendly and attentive. Highly professional staff and good service. Great outdoor hangout for summer in downtown Boston.

While not quite up to the standards of Four Seasons and Manderin, they come very, very close at about 1/3 of the cost. Rooms are spectacular, very large with a spacious bathroom with walk in shower and deep soaking tub. Mattress and bedding were suburb as was the housekeeping. We stayed next door one night at Boston Harbor Hotel as...

This hotel is pretty dang amazing. It exudes luxury from the moment you walk in. Room service is always fantastic and the staff has been nothing but pleasant. I was here for New Year's one year and got to drink with Charles Barkley at the bar. Definitely caters to the higher end, but isn't exorbitantly priced for the location (which...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
