As always, our weekend stay at the InterContinental was incredibly relaxing and quite enjoyable! We had a beautiful room overlooking the water. We especially liked the fitness center, as it has everything you would need.

First-we stayed here and at the Boston Harbor Hotel for one night each, and we rated the BH 4 stars and this 5 for one primary reason-the room here was nicer, quieter and more comfortable. The layout of the room was very chic with accent lighting, open bathroom concept and huge windows overlooking the city. I'm sure there are rooms...

I was in for business and was unexpectedly snowed in. The InterContinental Boston accommodated me with no issues whatsoever. Completely hassle free. Even gave me a late checkout since the only flight I was able to get was late a night, a day later. I was very surprised at how easy they made being snowed in, out of state, having...

Love this place! Outstanding Service! I love this Intercontinental. I have a brother who is 29 and has cancer and is being treated at Dana Farber in Boston. As a result, my family and I often go into Boston to visit him. When we do and need a place to stay, we always choose the Intercontinental. The building is beautiful,...

I booked a room on Expedia and they showed a suite. When I arrived at the hotel and called the front desk they told me - "That's not our fault, it's Expedia's fault, their pictures have been wrong for a while and other people have also complained" The the front desk of the Intercontinental knew Expedia was misrepresenting their rooms...

Excellent hotel in a great location. Second time we stayed. Love it. Easy walk to North End. On the water. You can even take a water taxi outside the door to the airport. Super courteous well trained staff.

Very beautiful room and bathroom with a disappointing view over a narrow alley (room 652). Very convenient location near South Station. I had an opportunity to use the Spa but it was fully booked disappointingly. The Miel restaurant and attached bars are stylish. Rate was pretty reasonable for Boston.

We had a fantastic overnight stay at the Intercontinental Hotel in Boston last weekend. We are three sisters and this was a special birthday celebration for one sister. My very first contact was with Frank in the reservation department at the Boston property. I explained our situation and our needs. Frank was extraordinarily helpful in advising all of our options...

Absolutely nothing to dislike about this hotel. Great location. Very short walk to South Station, the Harbor, and Quincy Market. Well appointed, with great restaurants in the hotel and more a few short steps away. Staff could not be more accommodating.

Terrific location, near the financial street. Front desk can provide Chinese service. Nice and friendly staff. The breakfast is terrific! The water view is fantastic. I also enjoyed the sleep experience of the room.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
