Modern hotel with well equipped rooms and one of the comfiest beds and pillows we've slept in. The bar/lounge area in the basement, had a great range of bar foods, we had an enormous platter of nachos which were delicious. Unlike a lot of hotels their bar was a popular place with a lively atmosphere. Only took about 5-10 minutes...

We loved the Loews in Boston. It is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. Walking distance to restaurants, bars and attractions. Rooms are very nice and spacious. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. They are always saying hello and smiling. Loved that the hotel was formally a Boston Police Station. Would happily return on our next trip. Keep up...

His s a good hotel late cater within 2 minutes walk from Boston Common, and ideally situated for visiting the Back Bay locality and close to start of the Freedom Trail. The welcome was friendly, the room well appointed with USB charging points, comfy beds. Usual noisy AC but we were able to turn it off and open the window....

Honestly couldn't have asked for a better time. Beautiful clean hotel, the staff is amazing and has the best suggestions about where to go and what to do. Without Ellen at the concierge we wouldn't have had as amazing of a time as we did.

Thank you very much, alexandramF7659DW, for your very kind comments. I am thrilled to read how well our staff took care of you. While our prime location or contemporary feel in an historic building may bring you here the first time, it is our service delivery that will create loyalty and I am thrilled that our team exceeded your expectations....

Highly recommend this hotel. Rooms are lovely, very clean and well appointed. Greta location. Friendly service. Poor gym. Didn't use the restaurant but the menu looked great and there was a good buzz there in the evenings.

Found a room here from Hotwire fairly close to when we needed to travel. It's a very upscale hotel with doormen and a bellhop. The area in the lobby has a secure area where they'll hold your luggage, and there is a comfortable lounge with TVs, couches, and a complimentary espresso/tea/hot chocolate machine. The room was on the 5th floor....

My husband and I Spent a great weekend at Loews Boston. Nice clean rooms, central location and customer service is fantastic! They have a great little restaurant/bar on the premises and an amazing self serve espresso latte machine in the lobby. We would definitely return.

Thank you very much, Carolyn H, for the very gracious comments and review. So glad you were able to spend some time in Precinct Kitchen + Bar as it certainly is not your typical hotel dining experience, in a very good way. And you can't beat our location for experiencing all Boston has to offer! But all of it is...

I was very happy with this hotel. A few weeks before I had stayed at a very trendy/expensive hotel in NYC and was disappointed. Here the place was like brand new and very clean. The room and bathroom were huge and I was right in the heart of Boston. Also I got a good deal and paid more than half...

Incredible service in a Boston landmark setting...left a microwave in our room to warm dinner leftovers, housekeeping truly did not disturb when we needed sleep, the lobby coffee bar with newspapers available was a hit with the non-sleepers, & you found the favorite jeans I left behind in room closet! Great spot all around....know we'll be back when we're in...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It's not often that a hotel embodies all that a city stands for, but the Loews Boston is just that place. Housed in the stately limestone building that was once home to the Boston Police Headquarters, our recently renovated boutique property is-like the city of Boston itself-a unique and unforgettable blend of historic charm, urbane sophistication and authentic New England hospitality. Our exclusive Back Bay location, which is ideally situated between three of Boston's hottest neighborhoods-the South End, the Theater District and the Back Bay-puts you in the heart of all that Boston has to offer, with everything you want to see or experience, including the shopping on Newbury Street, just moments away. If you are in town for an event at one of Boston's many colleges and universities, we offer effortless access to the campuses of Boston University, Boston College, Harvard, Northeastern, Emerson and Tufts Medical School, to name just a few. Our 225 spacious guestrooms, two luxury suites and an expansive Presidential Suite have been freshly renovated and bring you the ultimate in modern convenience and comfort. And our recently updated 1,024-square-foot Harrison Room-with its vaulted, 20-foot cathedral ceilings and crystal chandelier-is an unparalleled event space and the perfect location for your next intimate gathering. ... more   less
