This was for a one night stay in Boston. Some of the hotels I was looking at in Boston were more expensive. In the past I have had great experiences with Loews in Montreal, NYC and Miami, so I decided to save a few bucks and go with Loews Boston. Excellent move by me. It is a very nice hotel....

First time in Boston and first time at a Loews hotel - extremely impressed by both! Welcoming porters, friendly and efficient check in, comfortable and well appointed room, great atmosphere in the bar/restaurant area, sensibly priced bar food - all good. I try to leave some constructive criticism for hotels that I visit but it's difficult on this occasion. My...

The rooms are large & nicely designed. The lighting is excellent & I loved the big pretty painting on the wall. it is really pretty & goes so well. The restaurant was really outstanding whether it was for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Plus the bartenders make awesome cocktails. This will be my new hotel in Boston.

Loved this hotel. We got a very reasonable rate and the room was very nice. The hotel is located in a central location, within walking distance to downtown Boston. The staff was great and parking was a breeze with valet.

Loew's Boston is a classy older hotel with thoroughly modern, beautiful, and convenient upgrades. Excellent on-site restaurant and bar (The Precinct) where we had fresh melt-in-your-mouth scallops one evening, followed by a 'light' breakfast that turned out to be as good as we've ever had. Staff is very attentive, courteous, and friendly. The location makes almost all of Boston easily...

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in December and really couldn't fault it. The rooms are a good size with comfortable bed, wi-fi and large TV, and a nice bar. Location was great too, 5 mins walk from Back Bay station in one direction and 5 mins the other way to the Public Garden and Common. Considering the...

Don't even bother looking at any other hotel Loews has it all! Great staff, lovely rooms and perfect location. Once you stay here you will compare this experience to all future hotel stays regardless of the city. Our room was immaculate. Every person we came in contact with asked how our stay was going. We have been here so many...

We went to Boston for a weekend, booking at the last minute. Loews was terrific. They helped us get the adjoining rooms we needed. The people were friendly and helpful. And, the rooms were comfortable and reasonably priced. A few particular highlights: 1) Ellen at the concierge desk helped us with dinner reservations and was super helpful. 2) The reservations...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It's not often that a hotel embodies all that a city stands for, but the Loews Boston is just that place. Housed in the stately limestone building that was once home to the Boston Police Headquarters, our recently renovated boutique property is-like the city of Boston itself-a unique and unforgettable blend of historic charm, urbane sophistication and authentic New England hospitality. Our exclusive Back Bay location, which is ideally situated between three of Boston's hottest neighborhoods-the South End, the Theater District and the Back Bay-puts you in the heart of all that Boston has to offer, with everything you want to see or experience, including the shopping on Newbury Street, just moments away. If you are in town for an event at one of Boston's many colleges and universities, we offer effortless access to the campuses of Boston University, Boston College, Harvard, Northeastern, Emerson and Tufts Medical School, to name just a few. Our 225 spacious guestrooms, two luxury suites and an expansive Presidential Suite have been freshly renovated and bring you the ultimate in modern convenience and comfort. And our recently updated 1,024-square-foot Harrison Room-with its vaulted, 20-foot cathedral ceilings and crystal chandelier-is an unparalleled event space and the perfect location for your next intimate gathering. ... more   less
