This property is in the heart of the city, close to awesome restaurants, the theatre district, Chinatown and an easy walk to the Boston Garden and Common. Baggage service, check-in, wake-up calls could not have been smoother. Closet and drawers most ample. A mini-fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee-maker are provided. A great room offers large-screen TV, an array of coffees/teas...

First time in Boston and first time at a Loews hotel - extremely impressed by both! Welcoming porters, friendly and efficient check in, comfortable and well appointed room, great atmosphere in the bar/restaurant area, sensibly priced bar food - all good. I try to leave some constructive criticism for hotels that I visit but it's difficult on this occasion. My...

My first time checked in here for 5 nights. I'm very impressive with everything. Short distance to copley sq., Newsbury street (walk around 6-7 mins). Service staffs are very attentive and friendly. Lobby has offered 24 hrs coffee & tea (tazo tea served) with big screen LCD to see news. Working space is also provided. It's also quite practical for...

Stayed here while visiting colleges in Boston. Centrally located, rooms are nice and spacious and the staff is very friendly. For example, the hot chocolate capsules provided were not compatible with the coffee machine available in the room; phoned the front desk to actually ask for a few more capsules and she quickly explained the issue and offered to have...

I will start by saying that I never write reviews but the Loews hotels really make staying in a hotel a different experience. It's their people that make it what it is. Smart, intelligent, welcoming, and most importantly willing to ensure you are well taken care of. Our recent stay in the Boston Loews hotel was no different (I've stayed...

Had a great stay (albeit only one night) at the Loews, Boston. Location is very convenient (although not a ton of restaurants that were super-close) to getting around the city. Rooms were spacious and very nice. What stood out most was the personal attention of the staff; made you feel welcome and spoiled as soon as you arrived.

Stayed at the Loews for a few nights with my wife and children in May. We all loved the hotel, which is in a great location to explore the great city of Boston. The room was well appointed, beds were extremely comfortable and all the staff in the hotel were courteous and keen to help whenever possible. Would highly recommend...

We've stayed at many hotels in Boston and this is our clear favorite. It has the feel of a boutique hotel. Everything feels fresh and clean with a nice lobby/LR kind of space with cappuccino/latte machine where we hung out between activities. The staff is friendly and helpful without being tooooo friendly. The location is fantastic - near excellent restaurants...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.

It's not often that a hotel embodies all that a city stands for, but the Loews Boston is just that place. Housed in the stately limestone building that was once home to the Boston Police Headquarters, our recently renovated boutique property is-like the city of Boston itself-a unique and unforgettable blend of historic charm, urbane sophistication and authentic New England hospitality. Our exclusive Back Bay location, which is ideally situated between three of Boston's hottest neighborhoods-the South End, the Theater District and the Back Bay-puts you in the heart of all that Boston has to offer, with everything you want to see or experience, including the shopping on Newbury Street, just moments away. If you are in town for an event at one of Boston's many colleges and universities, we offer effortless access to the campuses of Boston University, Boston College, Harvard, Northeastern, Emerson and Tufts Medical School, to name just a few. Our 225 spacious guestrooms, two luxury suites and an expansive Presidential Suite have been freshly renovated and bring you the ultimate in modern convenience and comfort. And our recently updated 1,024-square-foot Harrison Room-with its vaulted, 20-foot cathedral ceilings and crystal chandelier-is an unparalleled event space and the perfect location for your next intimate gathering. ... more   less
