I arrived at 11/12 at night, and had to wait around an hour in the reception area to check in. There was only one person at the reception checking people in as well as dealing with peoples queries, which is quite along time to wait....More
If you've back packed around this world and stayed at some choice hostels this is a very different experience. Feels more like a hotel! Unfortunately the prices keep going up, but the breakfasts are good and the amenities available make it just about value for...More
A really nice hostel, good storage in the room and good to charge your phone in the most secure way you can at night. Rooms in general was very small, but I was there to sleep so it didn't bother me. Plenty of private restrooms/showers,...More
It is a good place to stay in Boston, with all ages people and with breakfast buffet. Very comfortable and clean. The location is close to down town and to Common Park. As Boston in not a huge city, you can go to every point...More
I had a short stay at the end of a trip to Boston. Lovely central location, easy to find and central to local amenities. Great location for food in Chinatown too. Check in was very busy, I must have waited about an 45 minutes to...More

The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have
your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.

There is no security deposit added on but there is a $2 or $3 daily fee for people who are not members of Hostel International. My 6-person male dorm was very quiet but it just depends on who is there. Usually mixed dorms are groups of friends so in my other hostel experiences they can be louder than male dorms.
