Neighbourhood
Charlestown
Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit. Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge from the North End or take the scenic water locks to Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll down cute Main street, wandering up the windy residential streets to Monument Square, where you can learn about the city’s history along with a great view of Boston at the Bunker Hill Monument. While it’s not a huge area, there are some excellent restaurants. Find your way to the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is a developing area with lots of condos and an additional site for Massachusetts General Hospital research centers. Here you will also find the USS Constitution Museum. After you’re done, hop on an MBTA ferry at the dock on Baxter street and zip on over to Long Wharf and the New England Aquarium.

We stayed here for one night after a Celtics game. The location is a 5-10 minute walk to TD Garden and a perfect place to stay before or after an event. U.S.S. Constitution was also a short 10 minute walk from the hotel and worth seeing. The rooms were clean and very spacious

Can you see the 4th of July fireworks? We have a harbor view room.
Is there an email hat goes directly to hotel for special requests for upcoming visit. Thanks.
Yes, Marriott can always contact you via email, they always do this for confirmations.

Which station do I depart on Amtrak for NewYork from your hotel?
You will want to depart from South Station. Anything going north from the city is North Station...anything going south is South Station. It is maybe a mile walk from the hotel

Yes- there is some historical stuff nearby within walking distance, I.e,., the U.S.S Constitution, Bunker Hill, and historical Charlestown (with some nice eating places). I think that area is also part of the Freedom Trail and you can walk across the foot bridge into the North End and continue the Freedom Trail and also walk the waterfront, etc. it is a short and reasonably priced Uber ride to Cambridge/Harvard, Fenway Park, etc.
