The hotel and restaurant staff was great. They did forget my breakfast order the day of my conference so I was a little stressed but they covered the charge and where very kind and apologetic. It ended up being a plus. Both the door man and the receptionist remembered me from previous days which helped make the trip more comfortable....

Great location, excellent restaurants but, don't stay in room 221. From cool shower water to a dirty bathroom door (so much that we took pictures) to walls thin enough to hear the couple next door enjoy (ahem) their morning - we were disappointed. Plus, when I made the reservation, I asked for a luxurious bath and soaking tub. What I...

We stayed at the Hotel Commonwealth while we were in town visiting colleges. From the time we pulled up to the hotel, to the moment we checked out, everything was flawless. Chris took our bags to our room, hung up our coats, got us ice and was so friendly (he even gave my daughter a Hotel Commonwealth teddy bear when...

What an unforgettable experience staying at Hotel Commonwealth. I stayed for 6 nights and I would stay again in a heartbeat. First off, the service at this accommodation is top notch. From everyone you meet, the moment upon entering the hotel, including the Eastern Standard, Island Creek Oyster Bar and Hawthorne, the service was impeccable. From start to finish this...

Nice hotel, well equipped. Easily accessible. Located within walking distance to Coplay place, the Convention Center. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Just a minor negative note : the heating system is somewhat noisy for me (I turned it off during the night) as was the fridge! Just a minor inconvenient. Great place to stay. I strongly...

We just returned from two nights at the Hotel Commonwealth. What a wonderful surprise! We took a chance and decided to stay somewhere new this trip and we weren't disappointed. The hotel has a beautiful boutique feel as soon as you enter the modern and chic lobby. My husband is a HUGE Red Sox fan so all the baseball touches...

Amazing experience. Rooms are hip and trendy. Our concierge Nick really put together a magical weekend for us! Our room was gorgeous with a city view. Plenty of room to spread out. Can't wait to come back!

The hotel was lovely. Excellent and friendly staff, very clean, nicely decorated. Couldn't ask for better. Hotel location was great and right next to a green line T stop. Easy walk to restaurants, shopping and Boston University.

This was my 2nd time staying in Hotel Commonwealth. I stayed for 5 days. When I checked in, the assistant asked to put a coffee maker to put in my room. That was very sweet. The hotel is also next door to two very nice restaurants, Oyster Bar and Eastern Standard. One can walk to them without walking out of...

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.

A thoughtful reimagining of what a Boston hotel can be, Hotel Commonwealth unhinges luxury from its traditional definition to bring guests urban vibrance and the ultimate in unscripted hospitality, right in Kenmore Square. That our stylish spot flanks Boston's beloved Fenway Park shines bright on its list of perks, as does being in easy embrace of the city's prominent academic, medical, technology areas.
