Our Third adventure to this waterside B&B. We have just been extremely happy with our time here(all three) and can not say enough about this hidden gem. We have rented the smaller houseboats, a short distance into the North end of Boston, a short train to the ball park, this is the only place we would stay visiting Boston. The...

We stayed at the Breakfast afloat in July. We arrived early, but were quickly accommodated. The boat was ready and they let us check in right away. We stayed on the Port. It was perfect. The fridge was stocked with water and there was coffee and real cream. The room is small, but large enough to relax for 2 adults....

The Port B&B is a floating house boat that lulled us to sleep as it rocked in the harbor waves. The staff are very friendly and let us stow our luggage in the office until we could check in. The location is right on the freedom trail. Highly recommend. Walking distance to many things, including a great restaurant - the...

LOVED staying here and it's so relaxing, i sat on my deck more than touring the city. It's definitely different and worth the experience. they have boats to rent to stay in, but since those were all booked, I have a little cottege that is right on the dock where the boats are all docked. you get a key to...

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Constitution Marina Bed and Breakfast. We stayed on the Port. The accommodations were perfect for us. We were greeted by the friendly staff upon arrival. The boat was clean and a good size. There were plenty of mirrors for getting dressed and ready. The bed was comfortable, the rocking was hardly noticeable...

Location, location, location - this says it all! The marina is right on the Freedom trail and 15 min walk from North End restaurants and pubs! It's easy to get to by water taxi, ferry or uber. We enjoyed our nights sat on the deck overlooking the water with the city drop back; wine in hand :) Superb! The port...

OMG! Never have stayed or been on a boat before...nor to Boston! Arrived by plane, took the Water Taxi directly to the Constitution Marina! Weather was 80f when we arrived and we knew it was going to get colder. In the afternoon, while we were out, it dropped to 55f, began to storm (rain and wind and cold)....we loved it....

My wife and I stayed 2 nights on Out of the Woods. Very clean boat. I am a big man so the boats interior was tight for me in some places (the bathroom/shower), but not so bad that I would not return. Great location and view of Boston. The boat does rock a little so just be aware of that.

We ended up staying at the Bed and Breakfast Afloat initially when we found that most regular bed and breakfasts were sold out and the hotel rates were high due to it being Columbus Day weekend. Lucky for us, it was the best thing that could have happened. We stayed on the Dreams Builder and it was very spacious and...

Staying in Charlestown

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlestown
Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit. Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge from the North End or take the scenic water locks to Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll down cute Main street, wandering up the windy residential streets to Monument Square, where you can learn about the city’s history along with a great view of Boston at the Bunker Hill Monument. While it’s not a huge area, there are some excellent restaurants. Find your way to the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is a developing area with lots of condos and an additional site for Massachusetts General Hospital research centers. Here you will also find the USS Constitution Museum. After you’re done, hop on an MBTA ferry at the dock on Baxter street and zip on over to Long Wharf and the New England Aquarium.
