Quite a nice little hotel in a great location. Our room was quite small without much of a window. Parking is a 8min walk away which would have been good to realize when we drove up and searched for the entrance. Front desk staff was really nice and helpful. The continental breakfast was pretty lean with a toaster, some bread...

The location cannot be beat; right in the heart of Back Bay in Boston, within walking distance to many great restaurants, bars, etc. The rooms are really small, with just a bed and a tiny desk area with folding chair. There is no closet; just two small coat hooks. Do not stay on the first (main) floor if you plan...

I had a conference in Boston and stayed here with my fiancé. It was in the middle of everything! Included a continental breakfast which was fruit, coffee, juice, doughnuts and bagels. For the price you can't beat it. Room was very small, but clean. I would definitely stay here again.

The room is small but comparable to hotel rooms in NYC - but much better. The room is sufficient, modern, clean and neat. The price (paid a total of a little over $300/night - tax included) is a lot cheaper than other hotels in and around Copley (others go for >$500/night). The hotel is located conveniently close to almost everything...

We stayed here only one night before flying out on an early morning flight the next day, but we loved our stay! We were a few hours early before official check-in time and there weren't any rooms available at the time we showed up. We grabbed some lunch down the street, came back, and they graciously let us in early....

The room is meant for people who don't plan on spending much time in their hotel room but need a really great, clean, comfortable safe night's sleep. On the positive side, it was affordable for Boston, the bed is very comfortable, the pillows are the most comfortable pillows I've ever used and the whole hotel was super clean. I didn't...

Having had bad experiences with boutique hotels in the past, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Thankfully I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Although on the small size, it felt cosy rather than cramped and the standards were exceptionally high. The staff were also very friendly and extremely helpful and informative. This place is perfect for a short...

The only downside is small rooms. They utilize space, comfy beds & nice shower. Stayed three nights & on 3rd floor heard very little noise from street. Marathon finish line was seen from our window. Loved the location!

First of all, I would definately stay here again. This was a perfect short-stay hotel for me and my wife. We were in Boston for a concert at Fenway Paak. The rooms are a little small but that's OK as they really do a great job maximizing space. Room was clean & hospitable. The staff was terrific & they had...

Stayed on July 22, 2016 for one night. We loved our short but sweet stay at The Charlesmark. It was our first time in Boston. After traveling from a name-brand hotel in a different state earlier in the week (one that was *not* clean, updated or relaxing) we thoroughly enjoyed the room we had at The Charlesmark and finally felt...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
