We loved our stay at this small and quiet hotel in Boston. We stayed in room number 10 with purple ceiling. Great room with designer furniture. Would stay here again in the summer..:)

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Boston with friends. Each couple upgraded to a king suite. The rooms were nice although there were some issues. Our bathroom was very tiny and the electrical outlet was placed near the floor beside/behind the toilet making it virtually impossible to use a hairdryer. When we complained about it, a power cord...

This place is just an old brownstone converted to hotel rooms. But it has little in common with a real hotel. Let me elaborate... When I checked in I couldn't figure out if this was an Indian restaurant or a hotel as the entire first floor seemed to be a restaurant with only one small desk as the hotel reception...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend and really liked this place. The room was big and nicely arranged. The staff were courteous and helpful. The location was great... right on Newbury Street with all the nice shops, bars and restaurants. We were able to walk almost everywhere we went, which was a nice bonus. We would definitely...

Don't be fooled by the name, not Suites and NOT Royal!!!! This is a lovely old building which has been cheaply and dangerously renovated. Our door would not close, there was a curtain instead of a bathroom door. No hanging space for dresses, cheap blinds didn't close, water in the sink wouldn't drain. There were tiny black insects flying around,...

The location of this hotel was amazing and the decor was pretty and modern. However, that's all that was good about the hotel. It was rather overpriced for a hotel room that had a leaky AC above the entry door and closet. The walls were thin so you could literally hear every conversation going on. The hotel is above an...

I have to say that we really hesitated booking a room in this hotel because there were no reviews in TripAdvisor!! It's a new hotel under the Royalton Suites name but if you do a search under the address 254 Newbury Street, Boston, MA 02116, you'll see that it used to exist as a B&B, presumably under different ownership. Well,...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
