Excellent staff, doorman opens the door for you and is quite friendly and the front desk is efficient and welcoming. The lobby is warm and has comfortable chairs by a fireplace. Perfect for an evening night cap. The room overlooks Quincy Market and Union Oyster House is literally around the corner. We went with a suite and it was definitely...

Great hotel! Walking distance of everything. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. While we were there it was a quite hotel, not a ton of tourist in April. helpful staff. Hotel lobby is pretty, but we did not eat at the hotel. To many good restaurants within walking Distance if you want to experience local flavor

We hosted the service part of our son's bar mitzvah at the Bostonian Hotel. They did an amazing job and made the entire experience so easy for us. The staff was accommodating and responsive, both in the planning stages and on the day of the event. We could not have been more thrilled. We also stayed in the Hotel that...

Really enjoyed my stay at this property. Will come back and stay when I can visit longer. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice and well appointed. The hot chocolate was a lovely touch in the lobby! Great central location for those who want to walk around and take in Boston.

This is truly one of the most unique hotels I have stayed at.The building is over a hundred years old with windows overlooking old cobble stone streets. However, it has been completely renovated with today's luxuries yet has kept the cozy historic feeling. My room had a real wood burning fireplace and wood beams on the ceiling keeping the historic...

Dear Sully, I believe we should offer you an honorary ambassadorship for Boston and The Bostonian, and thank you for sharing so much of our location, service and product! Boston is about history and our location, on the historic Blackstone Block, is all about early Boston and it's most recognizable patriots. How intriguing that a visitor can sit in the...

My daughter and I Recently stayed two nights at the Bostonian Boston hotel. It was our first trip ever to this wonderful city. I couldn't have been happier with the location. It is across the street from Faneuil Hall with excellent shopping and restaurants, and around the corner from the oldest bar and restaurant in America, The Bell in Hand...

Dear Guest, Thank you for selecting The Bostonian as your hotel of choice when visiting Boston for the first time, and it is always wonderful to hear of a guests' experience. Location is key, however we know that service must be equally of importance and our team strives very hard to insure every guest visit is memorable. After 34 years,...

This was an overnight stay after a day on the town. We arrived about 7pm and the lobby felt pretty empty. It took us about 10 minutes to find our room. The corridors wind around and we literally got lost. Eventually we reached our room. There were 3 of us and we had asked for a cot. There were 2...

Dear Steve, Truly, thank you for again visiting Boston and selecting The Bostonian as your preferred hotel! Love your reference to 'Europe' as the original owner of The Bostonian, Arthur Winn, was influenced by a boutique bed and breakfast in southern France, Var region, and why our design includes the Juliette Balconies, Canopies and Flower Boxes. Dear Guest, Again, Happy 27th Anniversary! We appreciate you sharing your experience and our team is always excited to hear of a guests' experience. Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
