I stayed in the Lenox Hotel for 8 days in August, and I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return. First, the location is perfect for exploring Boston. It is close to a running path on the waterfront; close to the Convention Center; close to great restaurants; and across the street from the Boston Public Library. (Given that I love...

Stayed here in early Sept 2012 on a visit from Ireland. In common with other observers, we found the staff particularly friendly and helpful and the accommodation and general hotel set-up to be really good. Certainly recommended. Exiting the hotel onto Boylston Street is a good direct route to the city centre and a very pleasant walk, past Boston Common,...

We had the good fortune to choose the Lenox for a weekend in September. It was a wise choice. Though the hotel was well appointed, and the room large and comfortable, the staff were simply outstanding. I'd left a laptop behind in my cab on arrival -- and the staff immediately searched the roster of cab companies, found the cab,...

My wife and I stayed at the Lenox on our recent vacation to Boston. We loved the location (Back Bay area - lots to see and do), and had a great stay. Let's start with the staff. They are super friendly and helpful. When we checked in at about 4pm, the first thing they asked was "can I get you...

So, although we have been to Boston several times, this was our first time at the Lenox. It was quite simply superb! Firstly, I booked with the hotel direct, and got as good a deal as through some of the travel websites, I also took advantage of the hotel's "e upgrade" option and on arrival was duly upgraded to one...

After over 30 years of international travel on business and pleasure I feel qualified to say that the frontdesk team at The Lenox is the best. Nowhere else have I struck such willing and genuine service and friendliness in regard to any need or enquiry. A simliar attitude infects the other staff. And no, it doesn't stop there, the rooms...

We stayed here for our babymoon, New Years 2012. Superb customer service. Nice, clean accommodations and a fire in our fireplace each night. The restaurant was also very customer friendly. We had an incident at the restaurant, a drunk patron came in to eat and was loud and disruptive. They moved us immediately and comp'ed our dessert even though we...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
