We were visiting Boston with our high school senior for a college audition and wanted to stay someplace that was walking distance to the T, Boston University, and Symphony Hall. I was also looking for a place that would give our son a favorable impression...More
We stayed three nights in December between blizzards. Our room overlooked Newbury Street and it was a joy to look out onto the beautiful snow-covered streets.
The guest house was close to everything; either walking or a subway ride.
The staff was pleasant and helpful....More
My wife and I checked in at the Newbury Guest House on January 2, 2014 for two days. Boston was hit with the Nor'easter Hercules that day, so our stay was frigid, white, and wintry. The city was pretty much closed down, but the Newbury...More
I booked this hotel over the larger ones in the area based on the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. The breakfast and location were both excellent. Newbury Street is a fabulous place to stay, with great shopping, restaurants and public transport nearby. The Guest House really...More
This is an excellent guesthouse in one of the best locations in Boston - on Newbury St in Back Bay, with its wonderful shops and good restaurants. Short walk to the T line, which provides access to the major museums. Also only a short walk...More
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice
weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.

Parking is available at a rate of $20.00 per night. We are a fairly quiet hotel and we typically host an older demographic; however, that's not to say that our hotel is not kid-friendly. Loud children may bother other guests, but we trust that you will respect our relaxing, quiet atmosphere as best you can.
I hope this answered your question.
