Stayed here for the Boston marathon. Was the perfect location...short walk to the bus loading, even shorter walk from the finish line. Also didn't have to walk far for post-marathon food. And walkable to expo. Comfortable room, nice service.

This hotel was a real gem in an expensive city. The location is excellent. It's on Newbury Street so plenty of entertainment and food nearby. The lobby is very homey and there is always ice water and usually cookies available on a side board. The staff was friendly, accommodating while also being efficient. Our room was 310 and was clean,...

Great location right on Newbury Street. Wonderful service from the front desk. Breakfast included was ok. My room was extremely small, I would recommend asking for the better room. Pricing very reasonable for Boston.

Our front desk staff is lovely, isn't it? We are glad that you felt welcomed at our place and maybe we can try a Bay Window King next stay, they are much more charming. Thanks a lot for the review Eddie

Situated 2 minutes walk from the Hynes convention center this place is so much nicer, and cheaper, than the big conference hotels. OK, the room next to the elevator was a bit noisy. Like the television set of the neighbouring room, but if you don't want noise you shouldn't go to a downtown hotel. Decent but simple fresh breakfast.

I absolutely loved our stay at the Newbury Guest House. The location is perfect, walking distance to tons of shopping and dining. Our room was cozy and comfortable. We had a room facing Newbury Street with the most beautiful view (room 301). I felt like I was a guest in someone's home. The breakfast was great- coffee, tea, croissants, eggs,...

Adorable guest house right on Newbury street in the heart of fashion central of Boston (People compared it to the 5th avenue of Boston). Booked this boutique hotel for a less expensive option while attending a conference at the local convention center. Not only was it almost a hundred dollars less expensive than the large convention hotels it had much...

We can highly recommend the Newbury Guest House. We stayed at the Newbury there in February to visit our daughter who goes to school in Boston. The location is perfect for things to do, loads of restaurants and access to the T. It's literally located half-way between the Copley and Hynes Convention Center T-stops. It's also walking distance to the...

In an area with large and expensive hotels, the Guest House provided an excellent option for quick getaway. Great neighborhood location, plenty of shopping and restaurant options. Convenient to Copley and Prudential Center. Nice staff and simple but very nice accommodations.

We were looking for a reasonably (at least, for Boston) priced lodging in a good area. Newberry Guest House filled the bill. The room was fine with good sleep quality and...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
