Ok, first up - the hotel is in a great central location and right next to the park. Checking in was odd, as arrived at 2pm and was told room wont be ready till 3.30. However, i could have one early but would be a charge. Politely declined and was really pushed with a sales pitch re this option which was odd - declined. When i did get to my room, I had booked a double double and had confirmation on email of this. However, my room was a single double. Room was clean but bathroom tired and bath / shower was stained badly at plug and chipped. Breakfast was paid and included in my booking, but at every breakfast, I had to sign a bill and this made me a bit suspicious - will come to that later. There is no dedicates dining room at the hotel either - which is odd for a 1000 room hotel! So you are sat in the lobby area and frankly, space is insufficient. Give the sizes of the function rooms on the mezzanine floor level, surely one of these can be used as a dining room for breakfast? Checkout - breakfast had been added to my bill and had to explain that already paid. Also, the hotel takes $75 a night onto your card as an extras charge to cover any damage or extras which i felt was very high. So, a good hotel with a commission based sales approach by some of staff that felt like additional income generation tbh. Some rooms are tiny as well

Recently I was a guest at the Boston Park Plaza Friday May 13 to Saturday May 14 again this year. The staff within the hotel is very professional and courteous. I appreciate Tevin at the front desk who assists me checking into the best available room within my class of rooms. Yesley assists me also at the front desk. I stay at the Park Plaza several times during the year. I always appreciate everyone even its just to say hello during my stay. Please extend my gratitude to your associates at the front desk. I always appreciate the gentlemen in the check room area in the lobby. I love the hotel and it's my home away from home in Boston. John Dickson

Boston Park Plaza is in a great location. We walked to Fenway Park and to Faneuil Hall etc but the hotel is right beside the subway line if the weather is bad. Our room was tiny on the top floor with no view. A little disappointed as the photos from the travel agent were misleading but we were only there to sleep & shower so wasn’t a major issue. I would go back for its location but it was pricy enough for what we got.

We stayed a week here in April. After 15 hours of travelling and arriving late evening completely exhausted, were were immediately being told our selection of room wasn't the best and we might want to consider an upgrade? We confirmed we were quite happy with the Superior Queen (supposedly 180-230 square feet according to the website), but the room we were given was about 100sq ft with a small double - not a queen (according to UK bed measurements). Disgusted, we took the upgrade after getting the duty manager involved just to get settled into a room we could move in, intending to take up the matter the following day. Looking on their website the initial room we had been assigned is classed a "Wickedly Small" room. The next day I spoke to the Front Desk Manager who agreed we should not have been offered the room we had been, and was sympathetic we'd been so blatantly sold to, to take an upgrade. She removed all the overcharges from our bill - especially as we had booked a 7 night stay (not sure why that should make a difference to just receiving the right sized room that we'd booked and paid for. The breakfast restaurant is in the main reception area, and was frankly under resourced. The staff were at best polite, at worst belligerent, and service was extremely slow especially at peak times about 8am - 9am. The rooms are not what I would describe as luxurious. They're pretty basic, but functional. There are limited tea and coffee available, and it took me an age to work out how to get just boiling water out of the coffee machines, as there's no kettle. No proper ceramic mugs, but single use cardboard cups and stirrers. The bathroom was tiny, and the towels are not exactly fluffy or large enough. There is an excellent gym in the basement (but the staff manning the reception desk down there were pretty rude when trying to check in). Overall, not somewhere I would stay at again if I had a choice. There are other equally central hotels close by, which could be tried out.

I would have given this more of a 3.5 if I could. My understanding was that this would be more of a luxury stay, but that's based on your experience. If your from more of a mid to southern state, the superior king room may seem a little small, but doable. I was bit surprised and underwhelmed, but I wasn't it in it much so it was okay. The service in the hotel depended on who was serving some areas were exemplary other were not. Literally had a waiter who seemed annoyed to be serving my table. The food was really good. It was in a great location, and not too far from anything. Overall not too bad a place, but I probably would seek something else for a leisure trip.

We stayed at the Boston Park Plaza from 12-18 May and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The location can't be beat - it was a max 25 min walk to anything and right next to the stunning Boston Common. Staff were very helpful too, especially the doormen. There are a lot of areas to relax in the otherwise very busy hotel, and there are restaurants on site though we only visited Starbucks. Housekeeping came in every day and our room was huge too, which we really appreciated. Definitely would recommend this hotel though it is worth noting that it is primarily a conference location, as we saw many guests with convention lanyards, or for airline staff. But was good nonetheless.

I stayed at the Park Plaza hotel in late April 2022. I stayed for 1 night. When we checked in on our floor, all we could hear were barking dogs. They were barking because the dog in the room adjacent to ours would not stop barking. The humans were MIA and the dog was clearly in distress. We complained to the front desk and asked to move and were denied. We were told security would investigate and no one did. The next morning when the dog owners were checking out, I confronted them about their dog barking the evening before and that morning and I was threatened by security that I was the problem. I love dogs but if the Park Plaza...is going to allow dogs, keep them all on one floor. They should no be spread around the entire hotel. It was a problem nd I will probably never stay there again. I was quite disappointed in the brand.

Boston hotels have gotten to be insanely expensive, so I was thrilled to find an affordable night at Boston Park Plaza. While I can’t say it was bad, I also can’t say there was anything special about my stay - the lobby was very nice but the room was lacking in comparison - without character, stiff sheets, and one of the mirrors was a little streaky. Having stayed at other hotels in the area at similar price points, I just didn’t feel it was quite on the mark… Not terrible, but nothing special either.

I checked in at the beautiful Boston Park Plaza. The lobby is wonderful! The front desk person, Alex D was great, very helpful. Beyond that, he asked what I was doing this evening. That led to his recommending three very good restaurants and their particular specialties, which he wrote out for me. He then directed me to Nando’s in Little Italy as the best Italian/Sicilian food that he has ever had and he knows good Italian food. I said that sounded good and offered to make a call for me for a reservation. I walked to the restaurant to enjoy the area. The food was as good as Alex said that it was. The owner/chef welcomed me. Anthony was superb in his service. Totally delightful. Upon my return, I saw Alex again and confirmed that his recommendation was spot on. He smiled in response and said that he was happy to hear that and gave me a hearty handshake. I love that kind of service and personal attention! Thank you Alex!
