This was a very beautiful hotel. The decor was spectacular, the rooms was clean, the elevator was quiet, the staff were nice and the food was great. The locations was wonderful. Easy access to the subway or just to walk around. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I only had hot water for my shower...

The property somehow found out that we were in town celebrating our engagement and sent us champagne and strawberries one nice and wine and cheese another. Both came with personal note from the hotel staff. It was a beautiful hotel in great location and I am so grateful for the thoughtfulness shown by the staff!! It really made our trip!

I travel a lot and like to be able to spread out a bit in hotel rooms. In some cities - NY, Paris, London - small rooms are inevitable. But Boston? The Boston Park Plaza charges the same rate as other high end hotels but delivers a lot less for the dollar in terms of square footage. Also means smaller...

Visited The Boston Park Plaza the Boston Marathon Weekend. The staff was great at check in and check out. The doorman was exceptional. He was very pleasant and gave us directions and great recommendations for things to see. I would like to call him out by name. The doorman is named Mamadou. I thought the price was really good for...

The first person who greeted us at the door upon arrival, Fernando, set the tone for the entire experience. He was friendly, personable, and informative. We ran into him several more times during our stay and each time was an absolute pleasure! Alex at the front desk was also friendly and professional, making the check-in process a breeze. The room...

The rooms here are notoriously small. The front desk is judgemental, unwelcoming, and uncaring. I was able to get an upgrade to a suite, which was the best room I've had here, but was still poor in accoustics (you could here too much of what was going on in the bathroom, hallway, and out on the city streets). don't plan...

A stately old hotel with a grand history; they have completely renovated the entire hotel. No stone unturned and no detail overlooked. It seems even the elevators are new and the rooms redone as well. The hotel is magnificent. The lobby now incorporates a restaurant and the bar with large TV's and exquisite lighting is one I could sit at...

Pre-paid hotel stay for a couple of days but due to flight delay arrived in the morning instead of the evening before. Since it was pre-paid expected to have my room but they did not have it and I had to wait in the lobby for hours until a room became available. If you pay for a damn service in...

Thankfully we were upgraded from a cost queen to a deluxe king, but the room was very small, no minibar, pillows mushy and lifeless, and the bathroom acoustics left you in no doubt about your partner's toilet habits.

The location is great. The lobby is attractive. The rooms, or at least my room, was absurdly small. I don't require a huge room, especially for a night or two, but this was a bad joke. The bathroom was almost unusable. The space between the end of the bed and the wall was literally less than a foot. Desk? No...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
