This hotel is ideally located on the Wharf and close to everything... Faneuil Hall, Aquarium, North End, TD Garden, etc. Rooms are nice but small. King or Double Beds. Doubles are tough for a family of 4, but we were able to fit an air mattress for our 14 year old which made it easier to sleep. Nice indoor pool....

We stayed here for a week while my husband was on business and the place was lovely as always! Beautiful view from the lounge with yummy snacks. Great view from the room with huge comfy beds. Perfect location for seeing many things and right next to the T stop. I would go back again! The only reason I docked one...

I had always wanted to stay at this hotel. My husband surprised me with a night there as an early Valentines Day present. I was not very impressed with the hotel. We had reservations for a room with a king sized bed but when we got there there was no room available so the front end clerk told us the...

Thank you for staying with us and taking time to review our property. Like with all Marriott properties, we confirm room types during the reservation process but leave bed types to the day of arrival as we process requests. In many cases the numbers work themselves out with everyone getting what they want, unfortunately for you they didn't and I...

From making the reservation (thank you Melissa), to the efficient valet, our "pregame" experience started off so well. Then one of the kids got sick and we tried to check in early. FIVE HOURS LATER (while waiting in the lobby with a feverish kiddo) we were allowed to get into one of our two rooms. If you need a place...

This property is located right on the harbor in Boston. The aquarium and Quincy Market are within walking distance. Lots of restaurants nearby as well as the historic Freedom Trail. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The view of the harbor was great. The only downside was the hotel restaurant (Waterline) has somewhat slow service (although...

Dear Tiffany L - Thank you for the nice review. I am sorry about the slow service in Waterline. If you stayed this past weekend, we were indeed very busy. The team did a nice job handling the volume, both in the kitchen and front of house. I am glad the service was friendly and the food was delicious. I...

This centrally located hotel seems oriented more to conferences and events than to travelers. The room was adequate, but the long hallways were littered with room service dishes. The hallway lighting was dim, especially when the lights were off in the interior event dining area.

Dear CA7777 - Thanks for you review on TripAdvisor. I am sorry that we didn't exceed your expectations. Although we do have adequate conference space, a large majority of our guests are transient, like yourself, who are drawn to Long Wharf because of our very central location and the service excellence from our team. I appreciate you giving us a...

I stayed here a few years ago and it was very very old and tired then, one of my colleagues said it had been renovated so I tried it again. Trust me, they put new paint and carpet down, maybe a few new chairs but I can believe Marriott keeps their name on this place. They put the new phone...

Dear cons18 - Thank you for taking the time to review us. Please accept my apology for the disappointment that you experienced. We are very proud of our renovation plan. It is a phased approach over these past 5 years - covering the upper and lower lobby, restaurant, banquet space, guest corridors and fitness facility. Guest rooms are planned for...

We had two connected rooms at this hotel for our family (toddler and infant). It was a great setup. Rooms are simple and clean. Bathrooms are small but there are tubs, which can be nice with kids. The location is fantastic for the view, walks, food and activities for kids. The staff stands out for their friendliness and helpfulness. We...

In downtown Boston it can be hard to get a hotel room that doesn't look out at another building. This hotel is beautiful, spacious and walking distance to all things Boston. Across the street from Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. A small walk to Paul Reveres (which is very close to little Italy) and right next door to the aquarium....

Pricey stay. Service was sub par and amenities limited and non existent . Staff was not responsive and not hospitable. The beds were horrible and pillows a sad excuse for a pillow. Dear K C - I am very sorry to hear about the issues that you encountered. As you can tell from so many positive reviews on TripAdvisor, what you experienced is pretty atypical. Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
