This place is odd, the beds are OK but its a souless place that has started to look very dated. The scene in the bar was like a travelling rep's convention, lots of chinos and blazers and over priced crappy wine. Avoid if you can, there are better places for less money.

Checkin was smooth and accurate, recommendations for restaurants were spot on. The location provided easy access to downtown meetings and gift buying options. The hotel is close to the T, and no trouble getting a taxi. The hotel staff are highly professional, service minded and helpful.

This hotel is perfectly fine when you are hosting 2,000 of your newest friends at a business convention, but it is not in any stretch of the word a charming or intimate hotel. For business people the hotel functions perfectly fine for their needs...but if one is going to Boston to experience a sense of history or intimacy with the...

I was in Boston for a conference and decided to bite the bullet and pay the big dollars for a great location in Boston. And That it was- duper neighborhood restaurants , great shopping and walking to the history. With all that being said the rooms are "just fine" and being a Marriott platinum offered no advantages, ie: A breakfast...

Only gripe regarding this hotel was that the elevators are still very slow. The interior of the rooms are quite new and I had no complaints regarding cleanliness. I was staying on the 6th floor and I had no problem with noise from neighboring rooms or from outside (rm 605). The hotel is in a very central location and you...

Our room has majestic views of the Charles River and Cambridge which was very relaxing after a long day of walking. Boston Common, Copley Square, Trinity Church, Boston Public Library, Prudential Center, Copley Place Mall and Newbury Street shopping are all within walking distance. The room was adequately appointed with good quality furniture and TV except the mattress was below...

If you're looking for a central location in Boston to many attractions, this is your hotel. Check in was easy, rooms have great views of the city and rooms were clean. Like others have mentioned, the elevators are an issue. If you're on a schedule, plan 5-10 mins waiting for an elevator. The concierge level was great with a great...

We always like staying "in city" wherever we travel. Our recent trip to Boston brought us to the Marriott Copley Place. We had a great suite overlooking Boston and the water, but in particular, the location in city was ideal. Walking distance to everything, and a connected pedestrian bridge to the Copley Place Mall and the Prudential Mall - no...

The hotel is in a vey convenient location between the 2 malls with great shopping. The rooms are nice, but nothing exceptional. Don't let them try to talk you into a free "upgrade" to the hospitality suite. It has a Murphy bed which is very uncomfortable.

Great location. Connected to the mall. Starbucks onsite and Champions Bar and Grill was great. Rooms are super clean and check in was excellent. The biggest problem at this property is that the elevators are slow. Really slow. I have stayed at this property at least 3 times in the past 18 months and I would certainly stay again.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
