The staff here are great--from the ones greeting you at the door, to the staff who take care of your room, to the waitstaff who serve the food on break and at meals. It is a wonderful place for a conference, located near accessible transportation in the middle of Boston.

We checked in late, it was for one night. Room was very clean and we had a drink at the bar once we came back from dinner. Bartender was quick to bring us a menu. Overall everyone was nice and room was clean. Definitely worth the visit.

Stayed here for three consecutive years at conventions; terrific service, rooms, foot, location. Hard to beat. Nearby to Copley Square, Boston Commons, subway stop nearby, restaurants a plenty near the Prudential Center. Champions Lounge on first floor a great bar to meet friends and have a drink. Also Fresh Bites inside the hotel is open all day for food. But...

The location is great. It is connected to a mall and the subway and a short walk to major attractions, shopping and restaurants. The Champions restaurant is much better than most hotel restaurants. The lobby is beautiful. The rooms are a bit small and dated. We had an upgraded corner river view room. The room was nice, but small for...

Although have stayed here many times in the past, we just revisited for the first time in over 10 years; the location, right in between the western end of Copley Place and a short enclosed bridge over to the Prudential Mall, is super convenient. We had a corner King with great views over Back Bay into the Charles; the room...

As a Marriott employee, I understand why I may have not been treated as high priority, but this was purely unacceptable. At 7pm a neighbor complained that me and my friends (celebrating a birthday by ordering pizza) were too loud. A man barged into our room without even a knock and screamed at us that we were way too loud...

With the exception of the sports bar which isn't as bad as it could be this hotel is dated, soulless and overpriced. I spent four nights here and wished I hadn't. Although my room was of a good size it was in serious need of a refresh. The bathroom for example felt light it hadnt been touched since the 80s,...

The hotel is very convenient for events in the Hynes convention centre. The room was comfortable enough. I was in the 37th floor and had a fantastic view of the city. The restaurant is just ok, but there are a lot of options very close by.

Great area to stay in - walking distance to Newbury Street and the fact that it is connected to the Prudential Center shopping as well as Copley Place makes it a must go especially around the holidays! Disappointed that the lounge is not opened on the weekends - snacks and water would have been nice and you would think there...

Hotel in general, the concierge people in the lobby, the checkin desk, our room size were all very good. The posted times when the 28th floor containing the Concierge lounge (wine/coffee/cheese etc etc) was open was totally wrong. They listed some days as open until 12:00 noon when it actually closed at 9:00am (except for coffee) . Insult to injury,...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
