Major let down. The pics of this place online are amazing as is the outside of the resort. Rooms however are more like an overpriced cabin that is musty. At rates of over $500, I expect it to be more of a luxury rather than Motel 6. Our Mountain View room was only visible to see thru 2 windows that were pointless unless you were at least 7 foot tall. Tub in the bathroom had cracks and chipping. It was a good thing we are in our 40’s and not a senior as he fell in the bathroom from the lip at the entrance. Omni should be embarrassed to put their logo on this resort. After calling down to speak to the manager, no one seemed to care. We’ve been back close to a week and still have not received a call back from a manager. Spend your money elsewhere, really nothing there is worth it. Room 522 in case management cares.

Gorgeous and unique property in the mountains. Original stone lodge of 1913 has been greatly enlarged starting in the 1980s. Recommend you book a room in the main (original) section of the lodge, which gives you a room looking over the (haunted) Palm Court, and also positions you to get to the restaurants in either wing without having to walk a very long distance (as we did. we were at the very end of the Simmons wing).

Room Tip: try to book the rooms in the main (original) section for that "vintage" feel and easy...

Stayed here for a wedding. Greeted nicely by the valet gentlemen which try their hardest to keep the cars moving but when there are 4 weddings and others trying to check in, it can be a challenge. The front desk was professional and we were notified when our room was ready as we were early to arrive (before check in time due to rehearsal of the wedding that was to take place the following day.) Customer service txt us and provided us with our keys in a fair amount of time. Bellmen were very helpful with all the wedding prep, from the car, holding it everything until our rooms were ready, to bringing everything back down to the venue, etc. Very impressed with all the service. The room was clean, but there were a few details overlooked. The bed skirt (which are a pain) were every which a way and far from looking like a 4 star resort and the a/c vent as well as the vent in the bathroom were extremely full of dust, there was a sock under the dresser, a candy wrapper on the ledge of the mirror in the bathroom. COVID wise I felt completely safe for those who have a concern. The mattresses are VERY firm and two pillows for each queen bed. The bathroom there was a step up to so watch out in the middle of the night that you don’t stub your toe(s). There needs to be a highlight perhaps. The linens were all fine quality. The darkening drapes provided for a very nice dark environment to sleep especially being where all the cars drive into the hotel. Never saw any headlights. The room was very quiet especially since it was an adjoining room. Normally you can hear your next door neighbor so clearly through the door. Not here. Very quiet!!!! The door to the room shuts slowly and some doors shut while others do not. Our room did but the bride’s room did not automatically. The ‘lobby’ of the third floor of the Vanderbilt wing is wonderful with tables and areas to relax, chat with friends in a quieter area than the lobby. The lobby is always bustling with plenty of guests. The two large fireplaces with rocking chairs is a great way to warm up and relax. The grounds provide a pleasant stroll and overlook the mountains and city below. The hotel has a few shops, restaurants, and the best coffee just made for them at the Omni. They do have self parking and valet parking options with different pricing for both. You do drive through a neighborhood getting there with speed bumps along the way. There is a spa and golf available as well. Great resort!!!!

Although we didn’t stay or dine here, we had to go in and look around and take in the fabulous views and the large fireplaces with rockers lined up in front of them. The stone exterior and floors inside were so beautiful. But that area has some pretty scary narrow 2 lane roads and hairpin turns.

Excellent service with old world charm. This is an amazing hotel set in some of the most beautiful country in America. Get a cocktail about an hour before sunset and enjoy the ever changing panorama of the blue ridge mountains. The food is excellent with a southern flare. I would highly recommend this for an event or just a weekend getaway.
