Beautiful hotel. We stayed here the last night of our 9 day journey from Oregon to NC with a moving truck towing a car and a separate vehicle. It was so nice to have our last hotel so beautiful and comfortable and the people at the desk were kind, caring and sincere. They gave us warm chocolate chip cookies after checking in. The beds were extremely comfortable and walk-in shower and bathroom just gorgeous.

This was our first hotel experience after the pandemic and we were a little apprehensive. The Doubletree desk staff did a fantastic job of explaining their precautions, cleaning practices, elevator protocol, etc. All staff members were wearing masks, and we did the same thing when we weren't in our room. There was a hand sanitizer outside the elevator. I did carry in some disinfecting wipes and wiped down the touch surfaces in our room because during this time, I don't feel it hurts to go the extra mile. We had breakfast in the morning, which is basically an omelette station with a few sides, yogurt, and beverages. It was very good, and the tables were well separated. Of course my husband has to have his Doubletree cookies! They were moist and quite good. The location is very close to the Biltmore Estate entrance and is walking distance to the Biltmore Village restaurants and shops. We will definitely stay here again on our planned return trip to the Biltmore in the fall. Great job, Doubletree!

Stayed for three nights. The room was adequate. On the smaller side. Bathroom was very small, like your knees would get hit if you were using the toilet and someone opened the door.
I'm a stickler for cleanliness. Room itself not bad, although it could use a spruce-up. Bathroom was clean enough, but toothpaste splatter on the wall next to the sink was a slight turn off. There's no exhaust fan, either, which I think is odd.
Breakfast is extra, not included. It was very nice with anything you could ever want. The wait staff was super friendly.
The only thing that bugged me was that there was a college basketball tournament in town (of which we were unaware when booking) and our room was amongst the player's rooms. They were loud and milling about in the hallway and we could hear EVERY word. I feel like a group like that could be together in one area
of the hotel. And not mixing regular guests in the middle of it. We wanted to relax in the evenings. Instead, we were unable to sleep until the kids finally retired. For the amount of money we paid for three nights/breakfast (over $600), I would expect a better atmosphere.
Overall, this hotel is decent. There's a restaurant attached and Biltmore Village is within walking distance for other dining options.
We would consider staying again as it's convenient to area attractions. But I'd like to see the rooms fixed up a bit...

We stayed here toward the end of May, after the economy was partially reopened. We were concerned about staying at a hotel, but this turned out to be perfect for us (plus I am not a camping type of girl and don't like to cook on trips). We checked in late, and still got the warm cookies. The room was clean as was the hotel (minus the elevator floor, which seemed to be sticky, and the staff had to be prompted to take out the communal trash because nearly everyone was getting takeout). They required masks in the building, and most everyone (there was one apologetic looking lady on the elevator without one once) abided by the rules. It was so empty that often we walked in and out without seeing anyone, actually. There is a lovely courtyard with covered and uncovered tables, so it was perfect for getting food delivered since I am not a fan of TGI Friday's, which is attached to the hotel and open at limited capacity. The pool/hot tub had a limit of 15 people and it looked like everyone was following that rule, but the gym wasn't open yet (although why were the lights on). The housekeepers didn't come into the room at all, so we had to (gasp) make our own beds and be tidy, but they offered us fresh towels and toiletries in the hallway. Having an initially clean room is important to me, and it was--I even felt like the bathtub was clean enough for the kids. The entrance to the Biltmore is really close.

Hello porkchop1496 - Thank you for taking the time to leave this very detailed review. It will be very helpful to future travelers who are searching for the best place to stay during COVID times. We are working very hard to keep things clean so that our guests can relax and enjoy what vacation travel they can have this year. And while we appreciate your understanding of our housekeeping restrictions, we really hope things will be back to a closer resemblance to "normal" soon so we can do all the little in-room service things we love to do! We had a Suite Room in the main building on fifth floor which was quiet as requested.
The Desk staff was very helpful at check-in. The room was very clean and large with King bed and living area. We had a view of the Garden which is nice to take a walk into and look around.
The overall location is perfect and with the TGI Friday's attached it's convenient for a meal and or a drink. We went and enjoyed it.
In the morning the hotel offers and cooked to order hot breakfast for $15 and it is worth it. Egg Omelets or otherwise. Lots of sides and other offerings. A lot better than the usual free breakfast at many hotels (especially during Covid restrictions).

This is review is about both the property and the managment.

Starting with the property - This Doubletree has two wings - the old building and the new tower. The old building is very old with extremely small bathrooms...ie, you can't use the toilet and close the door at the same time or access the tub/shower. This wing is very dated and needs a complete renovation. On the other hand, the new tower is much nicer and more like what you'd expect from a Hilton. Also, there are no guest laundry facilities so you need to use the Hampton Inn & Suites next door.

On cleanliness, this was hard to assess in the old wing. But ALL THE bedding, including the comforter/duvet itself is completely washed between guests - and this is important during COVID19, and we were glad to see. The housekeeping staff is working extremely hard right now and we appreciated their attention. They are following all the CDC rules and more so during this pandemic and it was easy to feel comfortable.

On the management and staff, they are excellent and go the extra mile for guests. Christine, the manager, went out of her way to improve our experience. She and her team were responsive and very helpful. I would give them 5++ stars.

We will look forward to returning to this property after the renovations. If you love Doubletree Hotels, just remember to book the new tower.

Best adherence to Covid-19 protocols we encountered on an unfortunate, 9 day 4 hotel trip. All staff were extremely helpful and the management had set up a welcoming but well designed social distancing for everyone involved. The normal breakfast was moved from the room in the rear wing to the lobby and seating was provided well spaced indoors and out. Elevator protocols were observed by all. The example set by staff, from front desk to manager to housekeeping and maintenance was excellent. I believe that helped all guests to follow suit and observe precautions as well. As usual, the room was great and the service top notch. See y'all next trip to Ashvegas.

I’m usually very thrilled with my stay at a Hilton hotel . However, I was very disappointed with this one.
One very positive note was the staff! The front desk and housekeeping staff were awesome and their friendly faces were a delight!
Now if you want a Hilton hotel that is very close to the Biltmore Estate, then this one is for you. Or if you need a hotel that is dog friendly, then this one is for you. Other than that, I would find another place to stay.
Rooms are very dated. The double beds (we had our granddaughter with us so we needed 2 beds to a room), were very small and the linens seemed thin and worn. We didn’t have enough towels and on the 2nd day of our stay they forgot to include wash cloths. However, they brought them to us quickly when we asked.
The bathroom seemed updated so no problem with that.
One other thing is that I booked this hotel through Expedia. It’s cost ended up being VERY expensive based off of the room we stayed in. So be very careful. I honestly think I clicked the wrong thing when I booked it. I should have been more careful with knowing the total cost before I submitted the reservation. I’m chalking that one up to learning from my mistake and I’ll do better next time!
There is a lovely Holiday Inn across the street. If there is a next time, I’ll look into booking there because the location is awesome!
Sorry Hilton! I’m usually thrilled with the quality of your hotels but not with this one.

We stayed for two nights after a drive through the blue ridge parkway and a visit to the biltmore. I can’t say enough how immaculately clean this hotel is. My husband is employed with Hilton so we stayed on an employee rate and he is always so critical of other hotels when we stay. He was wiping down picture frames etc and never encountered a speck of dust. The hotel is conveniently located, walking distance to biltmore village, and maybe 1/2 a mile from the entrance to biltmore. There is a T.G.I. Friday’s attached to the property but Starbucks is directly across the road, as well as a lot of other places close by. We will absolutely stay again when we are in the Asheville area. Thank you Doubletree for a fantastic stay!!

Carla was outstanding-- very personable, knowledgeable and accommodating. All service staff were extremely polite and helpful. Hotel was very clean with sizeable and comfortable rooms. Breakfast buffet was reasonably priced with tasty options including an omelet station with delicious and quality ingredients. Great place to stay!

The newer suites have central that you set to the temperature you want. The unit is in a closet in the room, so you still hear it but not as bad as the under window units. Hope this helps!!

We have two different balcony rooms. The premium rooms in the Vanderbilt tower have larger balconies with Adirondack chairs to relax and look over Biltmore Forest. In the other wing the patio is a bit smaller but still has chairs and these patios overlook the garden courtyard designed by Mrs. Cecil.
