Quiet rooms with comfortable beds, attentive and accommodating staff too. Great location, convenient to all of Asheville's attractions and entertainment. Also, fresh local fruit provided in the lobby for guests.

Terrible experience!! Tiny bathroom- the toliet rocked-literally! No blow dryer available! Refrigerator was iced over and the door to it was open with towels shoved in it! The air unit was extremely loud! The carpet was disgusting and the bedding had a lot of stains! Never again will I let Onstar choose for me!

Well, we are sorry you were unhappy with our establishment. We are routinely tightening bolts on toilets due to the constant use. However, we do have hairdryers available in abundance in the office for requests, as well as irons, ironing boards and microwaves. We may have been able to adjust the ac unit's cover or fan to fix the noise...

The best place to stay in a Asheville, family friendly, great staff, and prestigious wilderness all around... visit for a while, remember for a life time. The pool was clean and prolonging a healthy atmosphere, the security guard was very friendly, with outstanding morals toward his job and the teavors.

Professional, friendly customer service. Historical atmosphere. Pool, breakfast and a talk with 83 year old owner was memorable experience. Recommended for folks who remember the motor lodge era. We had a great stay at the Mountaineer!

I am with the people who liked this place. The place was clean, friendly and the breakfast was nice considering it is complimentary, and includes a variety of fresh fruit (melon, apples, bananas and fresh strawberries one morning in addition to bagels, creme cheese, donuts, etc). I liked the wood finish in my room. I also appreciate the friendly, non-corporate...

This is a nice, quaint inn with lots of style. My girlfriend and I went up to Asheville for a wedding, so we only stayed one night, but this place had everything we needed. We are fans of elaborate neons, so we were definitely charmed when we first arrived. Had a comfortable rest that night and then a quick dip...

Asheville is a really cool, hip, exciting city. There are a lot of neat things going on and a ton of things to see. That being said, every room anywhere near Asheville is ridiculously expensive. I was really happy to find and affordable room at The Mountaineer Inn. It's right in the middle of everything. Literally dozens of restaurants withing...

We stayed here BECAUSE it is a vintage motel, and were not disappointed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You quickly feel like family, especially at breakfast in the office. Relaxed and informal atmosphere; everyone says hello and seems genuinely happy that you're there. The security guard was especially friendly. The owner (since the 60's) was on-premises frequently and...
