This is everything you want a B&B to be. We stayed in the Fannie Rice room, perhaps the most beautiful room. Everything is very high quality: linens, the recommendations, the beautiful home, the service, etc. Jim, the proprietor is quite a cook and we had sweet potato pancakes one morning and poached eggs florentine on polenta the next. He also...

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was spacious and gorgeous, the breakfasts were absolutely delicious and Linda and Jim were friendly, gracious hosts. We stayed in the Craig Toms Suite and were completely spoiled from the moment we arrived. I highly recommend this for any couple wanting a romantic getaway - we can't wait to go...

My three sisters and I planned a get together and Asheville, NC was a central location for us. We all went on line and checked out the bed and breakfasts. The Trip Advisor rave reviews on the The Lion and The Rose Bed and Breakfast in the historic Montford area of Asheville.convinced us to choose it. We were thrilled to...

We took a little weekend trip out of town to hang around Asheville for a weekend. On the agenda was downtown Asheville and also a trip to Biltmore. Normally we would stay at one of the more traditional hotels downtown (like Indigo or Sheraton) but this time we decided to try something different with the B&B experience. And we are...

This is a warm welcoming inn that is excellent and much more reasonably priced than those in the same class. The breakfasts were cordon bleau and very inventive. Linda and Jim were friendly, but not familar. The house feels like home and we had a very comfortable stay. At the end of three days we had trouble packing our bags...

My wife and I have stayed in many B&Bs over the past 18 years. We have to rate the Lion and the Rose as one of the top inns! Jim and Linda are excellent hosts. They are very attentive and anticipate your needs. The house itself is very comfortable. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job of keeping the inn...

Linda and Jim, our hosts at the Lion and the Rose, made us feel comfortable right fromt the start. They found that right balance between making us feel comfortable and letting us explore for ourselves. As an example, the excellent breakfasts, each delightfully different for each of our two days, were served by our hosts with a brief explanation about...

This is a wonderful inn for a relaxed weekend away from it all at a very affordable price. Located in the historic and peaceful Montford district of Asheville, it is within easy walking distance of downtown restaurants, music, and nightlife. The house is spacious and tastefully decorated, and with ample public sitting areas. The rooms are well appointed, immaculately clean,...

The Lion and the Rose B+B was perfection. My booyfriend and I stayed 3 nights in the Craig Toms suite and enjoyed everything about this B+B. The suite is the entire 3rd floor, and is spacious, beautifully appointed with antiques, has a fireplace, modern bath with large walk in shower and a jacuzzi tub, couches for lounging, and a fridge...

My husband and I have a tradition at staying at a different B&B each New Years weekend. The Lion & The Rose has been, hands-down, the best experience we've had. Jim and Linda have thought of everything... from chocolate candies in dishes all around the inn, to the beautiful Christmas decorations (there's a Santa around every corner), to the complimentary...
