My wife and I went to the Inn for several days as a weekend away. The Inn was very nice, room was great, dinner there wonderful. But there were oddities. First, we did not rent a car - couldn't find one. When we asked the front desk to get around, they said "we recommend renting a car". Well okay we don't have one. What about your shuttles to take us around the property? "$18 a day, per person, but we don't recommend them" That alone was odd, especially because we saw them all over (and why at a pricy place, that charges $100 for the self tour of the main house, are the shuttles not free?). But I digress... OK so how about we walk? what is the direction and path to take? "We don't recommend you walk". At that point we just asked for a map and did the hour walk to the house, where we saw at least 6 shuttles moving barely anyone, and rise-shared to town. And that is another subject. There is a ride share called AVL Ride. VERY good and easy, we pre-booked rides, used it a lot. I would think that could come up during the "don't recommend" discussion on how to get around, but it didnt. So it was all very odd, and things are not cheap. Massage good, but upsell at the start ("would you like to explore options for your massage at an extra cost?" Seemed a bit non-luxury. A good stay, but the above makes me advise to stay in town, use AVL-Ride, and just go to the property once for one day.

Very pretty property. The main lobby is gorgeous. The views from the back lawn are phenomenal. The rooms are nice, but maybe a little plain for the price. No refrigerator for drinks and such. Rooms sort of small. I have stayed at the Village Hotel and the Inn. I don’t know that I’d choose the Inn again for what you get in a room and the distance uphill from the village. It was annoying getting down to the restaurants and shops because the shuttles were unavailable due to COVID (only available from parking lots at the Biltmore house). Granted, with shuttles maybe my opinion would be different. I did not visit the spa. We enjoyed breakfast daily in the main dining room which was included in our package. It was very good, but seating filled up quickly. Best to arrive before 8:00am. We had dinner there once, and the food was amazing. You can make reservations for dinner, but not for breakfast. Valet parking was included in our package, so I can’t speak about self parking. I think it was fairly close.

Everything about the Inn was perfect! I’ve stayed at other luxury hotels but the Inn surpassed them all. The staff was friendly and always available when needed. The food in the Dining Room was superb. I will plan our family vacations here whenever we are near. Thank-you for a wonderful three days.

I take a solo spa trip almost every year on my birthday to stay in a luxury room, book a a massage and end the day with room service for dinner. This year was wonderful with the great service, great massage and a beautifully-presented dinner in my room. The really nice touch was having the breakfast buffet available again. It had closed due to Covid protocol last year. I have nothing but nice things to say about my stay at the gorgeous inn in an amazing mountain setting.

We planned a trip here well in advance and booked online and requested a room for four adults. When we arrived, we were given a room with two double beds, which would not suffice for four averaged sized adults. When we went down to the front desk to see what our options were, we were told that we could not get a roll away bed. The manager, Meghan was EXTREMELY un-accommodating. She offered to give us a room with a king sized bed and essentially told us to have 3 people sleep in the king size bed. Our other option was to pay another $580 for another room for both nights which, last minute is absolutely outrageous. Any good will gesture at this point could have rectified the situation (i.e discounted second room, drink voucher, bottle of champagne) however Meghan was unwilling to do ANYTHING at all. We were so excited for this stay and it was honestly just the most disappointing experience. We moved to the Biltmore hotel and stayed in two rooms for HALF the price, room was nicer, more updated and staff was friendly as can be. Within walking distance to restaurants and Antler Village shops and winery, don’t waste your time or money on the Inn.
