Loved our stay at the Renaissance. The staff was first class and the room renovations outstanding. The location cannot be beat and you can walk to most places downtown. Room was well decorated and provide a quiet relaxing night of sleep. The hotel also offers free parking!

When we arrived the room was not thoroughly cleaned including a pair of pajama pants on the floor from the previous guest. Overall property was dated and desperately needing a refresh. On a positive side the hotel is in a good location in walking distance to down town and a 10 minute drive to the Biltmore village.

Staff is very helpful and knowledgable. Lobby & grounds are beautiful. However, rooms and floors are very dated/ in need of repairs. I think housekeeping is a little lacking. Upon arrival to our room, trash in receptacle already and I moved the chair by the window and there were crumbs under there. It's only a one night stay so we're... More

Nice hotel in a good location. Walking distance to many locations downtown. The beds were comfortable and the associates were helpful in local eatery suggestions. We went to the restaurant they recommended and it was good. The hotel itself is a bit on the older side for a Renaissance but everything worked fine. Free WiFI and parking was a big... More

Had a great stay at the renaissance downtown. Honestly, some of the best staff we've ever been treated by. We had a van and trailer and the valet let us unload our front and then had a reserved spot around the corner for us. The hotel is in the heart of downtown asheville and walkable to everything. Rooms were clean... More

We stayed here during a visit to Biltmore Estate and the WNC Nature Center with our grandchildren. The Renaissance is newly decorated, spotless and beautiful. The rooms were lovely and the beds and sheets exceptional. Breakfast at the Writer's Choice restaurant was convenient and delicious! We were extremely pleased with our decision to stay at the Renaissance! This will be... More

I had lived in Asheville and Black Mountain for 8 years back in the 80's early 90's and this was my first return to downtown Asheville. My room could not have been nicer. A corner on the 7th floor offered me a fine view with a gorgeous sunrise! I took the trolley tour which is good for getting around the... More

We are here now for the NASW Conference and we are very disappointed. The hotel is $300 a night and the rooms are the size of a closet. For the price I expected a suite with a separate living area. The iron doesn't work and the bathroom is super small and dated. The gym area is outdated and the thermostat... More

The room was clean and spacious. Loved the barn-style bathroom door, but no exhaust fan. Great light-blocking curtains. Forgot bathing suit and missed out on the fabulous indoor pool. Live music in lobby on Thursday night. Lots of people hanging around. Close to many restaurants and a local community theatre.

The wild fires near Lake Lure and Chimney Rock made us homeless.... we had planned on staying in a local B & B, but it was evacuated. We made many many calls to get a hotel room and the Renaissance accommodated us with a wonderful room and even a discount off of their last minute room rate. Very clean and... More
