Came for a baseball tournament. Everything met our needs! It was very clean with a friendly staff. There were lots of conveniences. I love the decor and flow of this place. The lobby is a great spot to relax or work quietly. I love being a Hilton rewards member. The app with the digital key and check in and out option is fantastic. Wish there was a microwave in the room and an indoor pool but it wasn't a deal breaker for this particular trip!

Hotel had a great location in proximity to Blue Ridge parkway, close enough driving to downtown Asheville and also to the Biltmore. We were greeted by the staff and made to feel welcome. The Day staff was very helpful -especially Kasey at the front desk. She and another gentleman ( name I missed) was receptive to our needs helping us get a beautiful Mountain View. Breakfast was very nice made by Maria. The hotel was clean and had all the necessary items. The room was nice, bed very comfortable, adjustable temperature setting, roomy shower with great water pressure and lighting. The staff was cognizant of COVID protocols. Room cleaning was done as needed but front desk provided anything we needed to fill basic needs( additional soap, towels, even garbage bag). We would recommend this hotel for many reasons.

I booked three rooms for two nights for a Thanksgiving holiday. We were visiting my sister who lives in Asheville. The property was only five miles from her house.
I felt that $120.00 per room night was a bargain at today’s rates. Plus being a Hilton was a calling point. I called the hotel prior to my departure from my home in Cosby, TN to see in an early checkin was possible. Joselyn at the front desk indicated she would try her best to get our rooms ready. I arrived at 12:00 and she indicated that housekeeping was just completing a group of rooms. I was in at 12:15. Nice.
The rooms are small, but have what you need. Work space was a small table on wheels and an adjustable work chair. It was the only chair in the room. The only other place to sit was in the lobby or the bed. Bath was fine the first night. The next morning the hot water was only tepid. The AC is efficient, but it took a little work to figure out how to keep the fan running consistently for sound management at night.
Breakfast is typical of a budget property. Prepared commercial cheese Omelettes, prepackaged muffins, limp bacon etc. No fresh fruit. Budget properties in the United States need to take lessons from their counterparts in Europe. Assorted meats, cheeses, fish, fresh fruit, pastries, assorted juices, various coffee and tea selections and hard boiled eggs are always on the menu.
House keeping was consistent with Covid restrictions. Daily service is on request only. Slight problem with running out of supplies. The hotel documentation indicates if you need anything drop by the front desk. I ran out of facial tissue on the first night. Going to the front desk the next morning resulted in a question mark on the face of the man in attendance. He managed to round up a box while I was having breakfast. He indicated it was the last box in the storage room.
I will book this property the next time I am visiting my sister. Generally well done.

Tru By Hilton Asheville East has to be one of the best properties we have stayed at in the last several years. The staff seen, and unseen, are some of the best we've encountered without exception. Front desk and breakfast area staff were genuinely friendly, courteous and truly interested in a top quality stay for each guest. While we didn't meet or encounter housekeeping or maintenance staff, it is very clear as to drive onto the property, enter the hotel and rooms, they as well are committed to a top quality experience for each guest. The property is new and I can't image it looking any different for years to come with the team in place. Our selection of this hotel for our trip was initially due to its location to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It sits just one mile from the parkway entrance and just a few more to the visitor center. What a great location to explore up and down the parkway, especially during fall foliage season! This property is situated close enough to downtown, Biltmore and endless natural beauty to be jumping off point to many great adventures. We will certainly return to this property and look forward to another great experience.

This place is OK. Hilton's new minimalist concept is just OK. They have a great pool table in the lobby. Breakfast is OK. The pancake making machine is fun for kids to watch. We cleaned our own tables in the breakfast area due to so many people. Manager apologized and said two people had just quit that morning and he was scrambling. We checked in and the manager was not very helpful or nice. Someone in my party requested and was assured, of a room close to my family. Did not happen and it was because manager just decided not to. Not a happy family member. Bath products are in large dispensaries on the shower wall, no tub. One of ours was completely empty, Ok since I had my own anyway. The grandkids played in the pool and had fun. Management was ok with my group literally taking over the lobby, but hey, we hadn't seen each other in a long while and we only stayed here one night. There was plenty of outdoor space for us to feed small kids so we would not bother other travelers. When I asked about late check out due to Hilton Honors menbers, was told no way. Asked a different manager and was given a little leeway

I'm in my late 50s , this is a very nice hotel with pretty views , but was not my cup of tea .
I prefer little bottles of shampoo and bars of soap , Not mounted soap i have to squeeze hard , just to wash my hands. The platform bed was comfortable , but slid around on its base , everytime I rolled over . The morning Breakfast was quite nice, the coffee was not real hot , but was fresh not machine made .The hotel is spotless and convenient to area restaurants . Would give it another try , I'm more a garden inn and Hampton type guy .

Even though this isn’t a luxury hotel we felt they had some nice touches for the price we paid. The hotel is new so everything was very clean & nice. The breakfast had fruit, muffins, pastries, oatmeal, cereal, grits and individual toppings. They also had juice. We used the gym, fire pit & played some of the games available in the lobby. They had recommendations for things to do on different white boards by the elevator. It took us about 10-15 minutes to get downtown & to the Biltmore. I liked that the soap, body wash & lotion were in a dispenser instead of bar/bottles. We had an even number room facing the mountains so that was nice. If returning to the area we would stay again.

The room is smaller than most I have stayed in. However, it was comfortable and had everything I needed. It would be tight with multiple people though. It was very clean, and had a different TV software that made viewing easy and offered many streaming options.
I was put off by a $25 'incidentals' charge being approved when I checked in, with the promise that it would be taken off at checkout, which it was. This seems like it would only frustrate and confuse the budget minded people that likely stay here. I asked a few questions about the area to staff members, but they were 'not from around here.'

Thank you for your review. With the focus behind TRU being all about local attractions I would like to apologize our staff was not knowledgeable of the area. We have rectified this by spending more time in the community and making it our business to become familiar with restaurants, attractions etc.. in the area. Next time you visit we will have some amazing recommendations for you

We stopped here twice on a driving vacation from Milwaukee to Savanah. We loved the convenience of the location and of the hotel amenities. We checked in with the Hilton app while on the road, picked out a room, and could move right in without having to stop at the desk for a key. The room was compact but very efficient. Suitcases slid under the bed and the rack to hang things was very practical. The TV was controlled by the phone app and was huge. The bathroom was laid out nicely with a large shower. Breakfast was free and just fine and the coffee was always freshly brewed it seemed.
Whenever we get the chance on future trips we will search out the TRU brand.

Excellent location not far BlueRidge Parkway entrance with nearby shops and restaurants, very close to I-40 exit. The views from front rooms of the mountains are stunning though the price is a little noise from the street
The hotel was recently built, and very modern. My room was spacious with TV, mini-fridge and desk. There is no coffee machine but you can get free coffee from the lobby 24 hours a day. Wifi is free with adequate speed. Breakfast is good and free. Parking is free and ample. Staff very friendly.
