I had never stayed at a B&B before but we had a wonderful time. The owners were such wonderful hosts and were even nice to our crazy dog (we stayed out in the carriage house in one of two dog friendly rooms). We had a great time and I would definitely recommend it. It was kind of a long walk...

We had a great stay at the Black Walnut. It was the perfect escape from a muggy hometown. There is a separate house containing two dog friendly rooms. They even had dog treats from Three Dog Bakery in the room. This is just one example of the little touches that made this a great place to stay. The breakfast was...

My husband and I got away to spend our 20th anniversary together. This was a great spot and we were treated like royalty. The food was amazing and snacks and beverages were available all day and evening. We had a room nestled under the stairs that was private and quiet. A most enjoyable time away!

The Inn had been recommended by a friend as a great place where we could also bring our pet. I checked the availability on the Inn's web site, found a pet-friendly room was available and made an on-line reservation at about 5:30 pm. I received an email with a "Reservation Confirmation ID", and stating the Inn would contact us within...

I feel I must respond to the Gentleman who calls himself " NC Trouble maker". I can only apologize for what I may control, I will not apologize for things beyond my control. We sent a timely e-mail that indicated we did not have either of our pet friendly rooms available for that weekend. We do have a professional website...

And they are funny and personable with lots of stories to make you laugh. I know when I go there I will be taken care of and will enjoy a relaxing get-away. I can't...

We loved the Black Walnut Bed and Breakfast!!! Pete and Lori are so friendly and the food was out of this world. I surprised myself as I was always eager to get back for wine and appetizers at 5:00 everyday (one of our highlights). Talking with visitors from everywhere and enjoying wonderful Italian wine and fresh culinary masterpieces was a...

Our first experience at a Bed & Breakfast Inn was everything I had hoped for... The Inn itself is darling... our room was tasteful and cozy... The hosts were delightful... friendly and helpful with suggestions for restaurants and tickets to local attractions. And the food was FABULOUS! I felt like I was visiting a favorite Aunt and Uncle in their...

The accommodations are luxurious. The service and graciousness afforded each guest is second to none. The Balck Walnut B&B must be put on everyone's bucket list! No detail goes unnoticed and even breakfast is always an impressive dining experience. When you go, be sure to check in and refresh well in advance of 5 o'clock tea. (Once you go, you'll...

We have just returned from a trip to Washington DC, North Carolina and Virginia, and I am so pleased that this was our last stop. Our hosts, Lori and Peter, couldn't do enough for us and I feel we have made lifetime friends. The inn was spotless and the breakfasts magnificent! The rooms were very comfortable and ours had a...

Peter / Lori We had a great time in Asheville and enjoyed our stay at the Black Walnut. Thanks so much for your hospitality. Never slept better and breakfast was great every morning. Wish we could get your recipe for the scones and the waffles. If you are ever in Memphis, give us a call. Regards, Ken & Carol
