What a lovely night spent at the Black Walnut. Beautifully decorated with lavish surroundings, yet the Inn-Keepers made us feel completely at home. We hope to stay here again and again!

Where to start? The house is just beautiful. (Ask to see the before/after photos of the owners' recent renovations.) The service is impeccable. The beds are beyond comfortable. And the food is fantastic. It was hard to leave, but a total delight to come back to after a day exploring Asheville! They were very accommodating of our special dietary requests...

We recently stayed at the Black Walnut for our honeymoon. The food was the best I have ever experienced. The house and gardens are immaculate. The owners and staff are friendly and courteous. The rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated. What you see on the website is what you get in the rooms. The bedding is very comfortable. The inn...

We decided to get away for the night and headed to Asheville for relaxation (we live about 30 west of the city)... The folks at the Black Walnut were such great hosts... we were greeted by the gentle and lovely Belle (puffy white dog) and Bill (the not so fluffy assistant innkeeper) and a delightful spread at their evening "tea"...

Service was beyond compare...our hosts went all out to make our stay enjoyable. The room was elegantly decorated yet warm and inviting, complete with a fireplace and a sumptuous bed. My wife and I wanted to have a quick get away and landed on Asheville & the Black Walnut. We have stayed at a few other B&Bs in Asheville in years past and rate this one at the top. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful, had great tips on restaurants and prepared fabulous breakfasts each morning. The Inn itself...

We usually prefer bed and breakfasts because of the warm hospitality. Not these people. Not only did our room have no heat, but the innkeepers can be summed up in a word "cold" - for warmth and hospitality look elsewhere - Asheville is too beautiful a city to spoil with a visit here.
