Made reservations through air b-n-b. Communication was great and everyone was friendly. The place had a cool vibe. Stayed in a bunk room. First night was great. Second night we had a snorer from HELL whose tractor-like sputtering finally ended up driving me out at 2:30 am to start on the next leg of our journey. (Lesson- Bring earplugs!) Comfy...

Thanks for the review. Sometimes people will snore while you share a dorm room. We do offer absolutely FREE ear plugs that are available on the desk when you check in. Sorry that was missed. AirBnB is a great option for people. Unfortunately they do tack on a bit of extra fees. Our regular current rate is $27/night if you...

Awesome place to stay; very clean, extremely friendly, and in a great spot with tons of places to eat and go out for a drink nearby. Good place to meet other travelers as well. About 10 minutes from downtown Asheville.

Bon Paul and Sharkey's was an excellent stay for my friend and I who are living on a college student budget. The staff was extremely welcoming and the sense of community we shared with the other guests made us feel right at home. The only true downside was having people come back late at night and turning on the main...

I loved staying here, too bad it was only 2 night....people are very very friendly, feels like an enlarged family where people do walk around the house, talk, eat together. The nights in the front porch and live music were awsome. I defenitely recommand it!

We had planned on camping out in the backyard for a night, but it poured cats and dogs all evening long. It was simple to upgrade to a private indoor room, even after we'd checked in & paid. The staff is really nice and helpful, and everything in the common areas and room was very clean. We loved the decor...

Good point. That mattress has been replaced with memory foam.

I stayed at BP&S for 2 nights in a double basic private room. Hostels are rare here in the U.S. and this is a pretty good one. The location was my primary concern when booking it. On the map, it appears a bit far from the city center. This didn't prove to be a problem. First, we attempted to use...

The house is gorgeous, and in West Asheville you can either get a little sleep or have time at one of the many bars and eateries. It is clean and has a loose, safe atmosphere. You have the opportunity to camp outside, rent a cabin on the property, or stay in one of the rooms: some private, some bunks. The...

I was in Asheville for Moogfest, and while it would have been nice to stay somewhere in walking distance to the clubs I could stay here and drive in for a lot cheaper than I could stay elsewhere. So this already had the price going for it, but when I saw the sign on the front offering Bill Murray a...

The off-street parking is relatively small & even with the hostel not being booked up, don't count on being able to park in there! Parking on the street worked out fine for us, no issues but some people may not want to do that. The girl who was on before check-in time was really great but the girl who came...

Hey! Our office and check in hours are 11am-2pm and 6pm-10pm. All anyone has to do to check out is just throw their sheets in the bin that says laundry, and then drive safe. The staff should let everyone know that during check in, but it sounds like the staff was not up to par during this time. Sorry about...

If you're a party person it's good, if not and you just want to get some sleep you might find the people annoying. Some of the staff are a bit absent-minded or aloof; you might have to ask for a towel more than once. They might snub you if you're not a trendy yuppie and you try to smile at...

“If you're traveling as a couple it makes sense to get a private room. It only costs a little bit more from getting two bunks and you (obviously) have more privacy. If you're a light sleeper then the basement isn't for you just due to the fact that the rooms above you are hard wood. We didn't have any problems though.”
